Did anyone go to Shell's launch of their 98 RON fuel, V-Power?

I heard they had a V-Zone opposite the Bell Tower and it has some cool stuff in there. F1 car, Ferrari road car, remote control car race track, etc?

Looked quite good from what I could see.

The upshot is we'll be getting V-Power at 40 Shell/Coles Express outlets

how much better is that to bp / caltex 98??

just done a search for close locations and gunna tank a tank of fuel just to get there

I can't see it being that much better/worse than any of the other 98's. However BP gaurentee there's to always be 98 or greater. With the Shell V-power you can use your 4c a litre off using Coles vouchers.

in vic there was no major problems with it. the trick (like most fuels) is to find a servo that has a high turn over so you know it hasnt been sitting for months.

none yet, v-power is only going on sale starting end July (from what the ppl at v-zone said)

This press release suggests it started being deliverd on Monday 13/7/11, so may already be at some stores

BP 98 RON fuel has consistantly tested higher then the competitors when it comes to the actual RON rating

The higher the RON the less likely your engine is to ping and detonate i.e damage pistons and other internals

Don't waste your time with Shell or the others I have heard horror stories here in VIC... everyone in the know here uses BP 98 only

Argh, none of them are near me. I'm in Inglewood. Hope the Shell at Highgate gets it soon.

I used to use V-Power in NSW so I'm keen to get back to using it as I was never disappointed.

I used Shell 98 on and off in Adelaide the past 10 years or so... never had a problem. Glad there's a few here now though, so I can use my $50 Shell voucher from SAU!!
