zoidbergmerc
Hey Guys, Just letting you know there is a hill climb on August 7th at baskerville. http://www.cmitas.org/documents/CMIBaskervilleHillclimb2011Flyer.pdf Entry is $150, this includes an epic BBQ lunch. None of this woolies snags on a shitty grill, I'm talking steaks and chicken and gourmet sausages. Because it's just a hill climb you start at the start finish like and finish at the top of the hill just after the corner. This makes it really easy on your car because you're only gunning it for like 40 seconds then you have to wait a minuite or two before you can get back on it. So you don't have to worry about hurting your pride and joy I know it's a lot more expensive than just the SAU "track days" but it's a competition with trophies give out at the end of the day for fastest cars in their class, best presented and driver of the day. I hope you guys can all make it! I had such a ball at the last CMI event, they're all such a quality bunch of blokes. Here are the supp regs and how to enter http://www.cmitas.org/documents/CMIBaskervilleHillclimb2011SuppRegs.pdf You need to pre-enter before august 6th. No entries on the day. If you have any questions or if you think I've missed something just post up here, because I'm sure you're not the only one who has a questions. Clandestine
Ugh, so up for this... I'm going to have to think about this for sure, especially after pulling out of the regularity, I ended up spending the day trudging around in mud and lugging massive frozen pavers about instead. Good choice. What's the competition generally like? I don't mind having my arse handed to me on a platter with french fried potatoes, but being slightly competitive is always a bit of fun Will read over the regs and actually see what's going on in a sec Jay Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371431-cmi-hillclimb/#findComment-5921815 Share on other sites

Hopefully also young Alex who we met at regularity, stock R33 except for FMIC and Zorst, getting 66s. Top bloke to boot. He also had 16" wheels. Food for thought. Haha, damn him and his 3 seconds my car came with these oversized, heavy, ridiculous 18 inch wheels and I've been thinking of a good reason to buy some others ever since, just can't justify the money outlay when they... Well, they still work. Those two mods are now high on my to buy list, but unfortunately below food and paying the mortgage. Very interested to see what kind of difference you can feel, the power difference is meant to be really noticeable and a nice change. Is he on here or is yet to become epic forum warriors like the rest of us? May have to get on to him about it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371431-cmi-hillclimb/#findComment-5927954 Share on other sites

Clandestine
Okay, seriously looking at this now (bit late, but meh...) What's the go with the CAMS Level 2S license? Can you grab one on the day, or is this something I should have worked out a couple of weeks ago and sent off? I think I have everything else ready to go except for a few pieces of plastic so keen to try this out, interested to see how the poor girl goes with two weekends in a row, but completely keen for some more track time Jay Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371431-cmi-hillclimb/#findComment-5944531 Share on other sites
