Hi everyone.

As most of you guys from Queensland know, I am relocating to Brisbane in August 2011. Currently, I own a pearl white 2004 Nissan Skyline V35 350GT coupe with a few modifications that I am bringing over to Brisbane.

I would like to catch up with V-series owners from Queensland and hopefully be a part of QLD V-series community.

So please post up here if you reside in Queensland and own/owned a V-series.

Looking forward to meeting you guys and your V's. :)

Hey mate! Welcome to Queensland. I live in Brisbane and picked up my silver 2003 V35 coupe a couple months ago. Only mods so far are a fujitsubo exhaust and 18" enkei rpf1's. Maybe I'll see you around at one of the JDMST meets!

Welcome to the Sunshine Stateaction-smiley-069.gif! Whereabouts are you going to be residing? We are about half way between Brisbane & the Gold Coast. Always keen for a meet/cruise if the wife will let me take out her 2003 V35.

2002 V35 300GT Sedan driver here :) I am also keen to link up with the community at some point but it is a little difficult for me as I live in Gladstone which is around 6 hours north of Brisbane.

Wow, so many replies! Thanks for all the warm welcome, guys. :)

I had organised few cruises and meet-and-greet's in Perth, WA and would love to see what Queensland has to offer. I will be pretty much busy settling down and with work for 3-4 months. After that, I would love to participate in the events.

So far from a week training in Brisbane in June 2011, I love it.

Looking forward to it.

I live on the Gold Coast and own a Pearl White 2004 V35 aswell. I'd be interested in joining the V-series community aswell as i just got my car a month back.

Hi Sheldon, nice to know you and that you are interested in the V-series community. I can see you have plans for your V35 coupe from your shopping list. Nice one there. thumbsup.gif

Me and my wife went to Movie World Warner Bros. Gold Coast while we were there, and absolutely loved the experience. :)

Hi Hieu. Thanks for the welcome.

I will definitely go to JDMST meets whenever I can. So see you there! :)

Hey Andrew. Thanks for the welcome.

When I arrive this weekends in Brisbane, I will be staying in Wynnum area for 2 weeks. Then, I will be residing in Waterford area and working in Crestmead area. So maybe close to you? :)

When we have meets/cruises, please bring along your wife. My wife, Sarah, always comes with me as my navigator. whistling.gif

Hi mate, thanks.

I've seen your V35 sedan somewhere on here before (I believe it was something like Lake Shore Blue?).

Hopefully see you around.

Anyway, nice to know you, Nath. How's V-series scene in Styx area?

Haha I'd say liger is in Rockhampton (or at least close to? I have seen a silver 350gt there before) and its only about 6 Hours from Gladstone to Brissy give or take, also who do you work for? And I will definitely be coming down for some cruises (when the girlfriend hopefully isn't in tow so I can man out a bit :P) waiting on an E-mail back about my payment for club membership aswell :S.

Hey Joshua. I work for a company called ATCO Structures. We build steel framed transportable buildings. :)

ugh, yeah, a million miles away from the SE area but i'm heading down to brisbane eary next year to get GPS tracking installed ( after a few companies were caught out taking the car for a joyrde)

The theres quite a few coupes up here, some of them act like dickheads tho. a little annoying.

All the performance parts aren't plans :) They were all done in the first month of having the car, most of which were before it was even registered and had even been complied. The bodykit is already paid for an is currently on a ship to Aus from the US, looking forward to installing that.

You said yours is the 2004 model aswell, does this means its the 70th Anniversary edition like mine? Full leather / heated seats / Dual Climate control / Front lip / Sun Roof / white indicators / came with 18inch stock wheels / etc.

I actually work for Warner Village as my second job every now and again, worked fulltime there while i was at uni. Its a nice place, get free tickets into all the parks :)

Hey Nath, let us know when you head down to Brisbane early next year.

If the weather is good and there's enough interest, there might be a meet-and-great. :)

im on the gc also, about 10mins from cobey. glad you decided to keep the car!!

We go to JDM meets often and the mountains even more so if your that kind of driver :)

Be good to meet you!

Hi Nate, thanks.

The car will still be for sale though. But I am not in a hurry to sell it now as it's coming to Brisbane anyway. I will see how it goes.

One thing for sure, I am losing alot of money there just to bring it over. But I don't mind. It's worth it. :)

Hey Sheldon, looks like you scored a good bargain with the parts. Your bodykit combination of Chargespeed rear, Impul sides and Kuruma Z front is a popular choice in the States too, so it will look really nice.

Can't wait to see that done to your V35.

Mine is actually a non-premium 2004 model, so doesn't come with what you listed. It's quite ok, as I have plan to retrim the interior to leather if I decide to keep the car. :)

We went to Movie World Warner Bros. on 11th of June. Were you there? :P

Edited by VNS 24

Nah, i actually work at Australian Outback Spectacular - the big building next to it. All part of the Warner Villiage Theme Parks though, along with Wet and Wild, Movie World, Sea World and Paradise Country.

Yeah, the bodykit is super popular in the states because it looks hot. Will be rare in Aus though no doubt. Can't wait to have it done. Also getting black headlights with LED's and Halo's. Will also paint my roof black :) to go along with the black 20's im getting next week once im finished Dyno'ing and tuning.

i shall keep you posted  just got to suss out the roads from a few truck drivers before i leave.

Pretty sure I have the only sedan in Central QLD, could be wrong, we should link up for a cruise to Brisbane for one of the SAU cruises one day, love a good road trip, also I have only seen a silver V35 on the street in Rocky (possibly a church goer? saw it parked near one) and one blue one in briscoe motors for sale.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
