yeah that though crossed my mind last night, if there was a cruise down in the SE, i'll drive down to g'stone and both go to brisbane from there.

mabye it was not me then, i'm not what you would call a church goer :whistling: . before the blue V35 was there, a red V35 with the rear wing was in the same spot, spotted the red one driving around earlier on this week.

i've also had a closer look at that blue one, "genuine low km", non-premium edition, suede seats. There is also a 70th aniversary sedan in there aswell last i looked. but i dont know if its still there.

Pretty sure I have the only sedan in Central QLD, could be wrong, we should link up for a cruise to Brisbane for one of the SAU cruises one day, love a good road trip, also I have only seen a silver V35 on the street in Rocky (possibly a church goer? saw it parked near one) and one blue one in briscoe motors for sale.

You mean when SAUQLD organize an event or QLD's V-series event that you want to cruise down to Brisbane, Joshua?

Either way, you have to come to Brisbane if you can. :)

That's an effort there, guys. It will be great to see you guys who live further from Brisbane at least once every summer. We can plan for one big summer cruise end of this year or start of next year.

Another QLD'er checking in Black 350GT 2003 manual sedan. Brisbane north side. Mate lives just up the road (Yin Sun on here) has a Silver 350GT manual coupe.

Nice to meet you, mate.

Hope to see you and your friend at future events.

SAU QLD is hosting a drag day tomorrow at Willowbank.

Everyone's welcome to come.

Thanks for the info, Brandon. I will drop by if I am in the area during that time.

Woohoo, finally landed in Brisbane. Have to start exploring the place. :)

Sounds like a plan, and yea I'm not in rocky enough to catch the other V drivers that are around, and I'm not a hundred percent sure but i think my sedan could be a 70th anniversary because it has full leather heated seats and such, but has no sunroof? So yea still haven't worked that one out, ill chuck my VIN on a FAST thread and find out at some point lol.

Cool, you will only be about 10mins from each other once you get over to Waterford - we are at Mt Warren Park!

Amanda does like to come along to cruise events from time to time but she works every second weekend so when she is off work she just likes to chill out, after all the car stuff is more my scene not hers.

As I am currently looking for employment in the mining game I am taking each day as it comes. The majority of roles I am applying for are for rostered roles (e.g. FIFO working 10 on, 4 off or up to 28 on, 7 off) so it remains to be seen just how much time I will actually have here at home. Regardless, we will definitely have to catch up when you settle in.

I just checked out my V35 at the compliance workshop. Hopefully have it in a few weeks, and then have to meet up with some other V owners in Brissy. I'm in the South Brisbane area

So excited to finally get to drive one! :D

That's great. It's good to know there are V-series owners who live close near the area. Back in WA, Steve (CRISP 35) and Fuad (Grrrr) live 10 minutes from my house as well.

I am staying in Wynnum area for the next 2 weeks. So far, I've been to Wynnum Plaza, Wynnum shopping centre, Pandanus beach and Manly area. There's a few places around here that's good to cruise around. :)

Hey mate, nice to know your V35 is getting closer to your home. Also, another owner who lives south of Brisbane. :)

Southside brisbane V owner checking in :), have met or spoke to a couple of V owners already on here.

Always keen to meet other members.

Nice to meet you, mate. Do you live closer to Waterford or Crestmead area?

Hurray for Pearl White coupés!

And here was me thinking they were all Silver...

Pearl white is a new silver now I believe. :P

But I like white colour. I also got my Dualis in white as well. :)

    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
    • I'm a fan of the JZX110, and the Aristo. Big cruiser cars, and with the factory cars, super comfortable and feel like you're driving an armchair! And the JZ motors are a pretty nice engine too, especially with some basic mods.   The import process, and the need to be able to trust people, and the fact there's so many scammers around is what ever puts me off wanting to go through that ordeal!
    • I don't care for these at all, but at least the underside looks straight and not rusty. A good basis for a long life. Many cars from Japan have been lifted with forklifts and f**ked almost irrepairably.
    • Yes, but it's not dumb or dodgy. You can build a perfectly good boost controller from a pressure reg, a relief valve (looks same same as a reg if all from Norgren or SMC, for example) and a check valve. I ran one for years. Only superceded with  EBC because I could get one for cheaps and wanted finer control.   THis mod is certainly not a sketchy boost mod, provided the boost is kept below the "spin to death" threshold of the turbos.
