Martin says there is no problems with it and has tuned Willalls Evo on it i read somewhere that caltex have capped the ethanol to 70% for the first 2 years

and really once you tune on united lets say you get a batch of 90% then you get 70% in you next tank you will only run a little ritch

oh thought id post this as alot of testing is happening on the united e85 of late

Ran my ute up on the dyno today for a rough comparison to see how united e85 would differ from drum E85 using my (Cheetah race fuel E85 tune).

Well I actually found it runs richer using United pump...and it made less power in the mid and top end.

Cheetah Race E85 - AFR starts from 12.0 - 11.5 up top

United Pump E85 - AFR starts from 11.2 - 10.4 up top(very rich)

Power wise....United made less power (10rwkw) across the board from the start of the run and was losing alot more near the end of the run... will be looking into this.

I have done this just to see if I can use United pump for cruising as its a daily vehicle...

So this is just a lil bit of a snapshot for you guys.

Cheers.

$1.34ltr United Pump vs $2.00ltr Cheetah Race E85.... and 1tenth over 1/4 mile.

this ute was tuned for the cheetah race e85 and it was only on the dyno to check if the afr's would be alright with the united stuff.

price and % content united it the ducks guts atm

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
