Yeah I'll have to do a ring around tomorrow. So many decent deals on stuff at the moment, just a lack of funds and knowledge on the M35s!

or just take your car off the road for about 4 day's and send me up the VB!

bet you I still work out a lot cheaper!

Hey Craig can you still do a change over unit?

I can...but have had a rethink on it.

In other words I would prefer not to as I would want to test the exchange units in my car before sending out......this would be a bit of a PITA!...e.g If someone had a bad Solenoid in there VB and didn't tell me the next person to do an exchange would get a bad solenoid and would be pretty pissed about it. I need to think up some kind of a system where this wont happen!....at the moment I have no ideas but am willing to discuss.

I'd be looking into an Express Post box; that way you're getting back the same VB you sent; even mark the VB & solenoids before you ship if you're worried.

Just depends on turnaround time; Express Post to SA seems to be around 2-3 days; also, you can track the package. It's not hugely expensive, (VB weighs 4-5 kgs) and insurance (loss or damage) for $650 is $15.

A courier service might be quicker; less down time.

Food for thought.

I'm willing to use my company's TNT account and that is overnight but I need to pickup and deliver from an address that is manned from the hours of 8AM to 5PM....we can just add it onto the bill....would be about about $20 each way from what I charge you.

PM me for further detail if you want please....or ring me!

Express Post should be overnight Sydney to Adelaide normally?

That's a pretty good idea Dale, would think it would work out well for most people.

When I send Sway Bars; it takes 3-4 longer to get to SA than delivery to WA.

Weird...

That was weird Dale, but those sway bars were heaps heavier, and a very odd shape.

Usually when I post express it's overnight to anywhere in the network.

I think Express Post for 4-5kgs would be pretty close to the $20 for TNT.

When I post link kits; I normally do Express Post (it's cheap, and has tracking) and Auspost won't guarantee next day to WA, SA and North Queensland.

The TNT option definitely sounds like the go.

looking forward to a weeks break on this now as the next 4 kits wont be hear for a week.....I recounted....thats 7 NM35's and 1 PM35 I have done.......4 since Wednesday.

On other news guy's if you want kits I am after another 2 to add to the next buy.....to keep shipping costs down.

guys.....no takers on this....will be the last buy for a while.

Is it worth doing on a stock car?

Do you mean totally stock? As in nothing changed at all?

Dale's car is still stock turbo but with exhaust and handling mods and he found a big improvement.

I can not advise against my car as it is far from stock but I am very happy with the result.

Cheers

Spot on Andy; the difference is simply a night and day improvement. I have nothing but good things to say about the shift kit.

Absolutely no downside with regard to normal light throttle driving, and when you want a solid shift; you've got it. Honestly; this is the way the car SHOULD be.

As both you & Craig have said; the difference is just compounded when you are dealing with greater than stock power levels.

Cheers, Dale.

It's been 4 days now since Craig (Jetwreck) did the work on putting the Transgo components in the VB part of the gearbox. What a difference it makes!!!!

Though, it the kit isn't much to look at for your money, it's worth every cent.

As Daleo said in his posting, the transformation is stunning. No more backing off when gear changes occurring, ie; the standard box just eases up on the

throttle when it changes gear. This was disconcerting when you are hammering it. This behaviour is a thing of the past now.

During normal driving, the changes are not noticeable but when you accelerate and particularly between 3000-4000 rpm, the changes seem almost silky smooth.

Thanks again to Craig for the work. :worship:

I'd recommend this to anyone with a NM35/PM35.

Found this while I was shopping tonight, funnily enough after Craig and I had a conversation on people overcharging for parts: http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=1198&Car_Type=G35&UID=20110915052013118.210.201.250

It MUST be better :nyaanyaa:

    • Its a 2002 vr-x four VQ25DET, silver. Coil overs, lowered, polished alloys and sport exhaust. Bit of a project, was sitting in a shed for a while but runs and drives great.
    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
