just interested in any who have stroked their rb26's with stroker kits, what sort of results and problems they have encountered and is it  genuine reliable hp alternative to a big $$ custom 3 litre block of which i have heard are rather pricey.

you can adapt an RB30 bottom end to fit, but by the time you buy the pistons, rods, clean everything up and have all the mods done to fit it can cost as much as as jap stroker kit anyways. It is however a nice alternative considering the price of the OS 3 litre kit.

lots of companies make strokers for various engines. I understand tomei, hks, jun and other companies make strokers for RB20-26 engines, 1-2jz engines and various other ones. Biggest difference alot of people have noticed is that the engine has more torque. I'm really not sure wether this is the case but it does make sense with the slight increase in displacement. I'm sure there would have been people on the forums with a stroked engine.
