Greetings,

A few performance shops mention that the 3540 is one of the popular turbos alongside the GT25. I've done a search of the threads and there doesn't seem to be many people with this turbo in their rides.

At SDU, there's one guy who's had good results with it.

Just would like to see people's experience with this turbo.

Cheers

Yeah, GT35's are too big really for an RB25DET.

My GT30 is right on the limit for the RB25 IMO

But on an RB30et, DET... they perform extremely well.

Lots of VL's using them, have ~15+psi before 3500rpm and make 300-330rwkw fairly easily at reasonably low boost levels. And are running good times with them to boot

R31NIsmoid,

a GT35 is too big for a RB25? i don't think so.

i have a 600hp GT30 (A/R .63 exhaust) on my 2L cossie and it's great to drive with heaps of mid range punch, and not too mention great top end.

i guess it depends on what u want from the car.

if u want to push 300rwkw + comfortably and don't mind a little lagginess down low, then the GT35 is the go, otherwise if u want a very punchy street car with about 250-280rwkw, then the 600hp GT30 with an A/R .82 is the go for you.

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together

That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
