Hey Guys, I have been collecting lots of R32 and R33 parts over the last few months and wanted to post them up here for sale before I put them on Ebay.

I will upload pics of the parts tomorrow afternoon as its too late now to get any decent shots. I would also prefer to have the items collected from near Wetheril Park NSW (I might consider shipping if needed)

R33

  • 1 x R33 - Series 2 (With Air bag) steering wheel: $200: Steering wheel is in immaculate condition, the steering wheel has almost no signs of wearing (no rips, tears, cracks or fades on the leather). And the air bag is un-deployed and non modified. The wheel has only about 2 or 3 tiny (around 2mm) marks on it but defiantly one of the best. I no longer need it as I found a near new R32 GTR wheel for my car

R32

  • 1 x R32 GTR (Late Model) steering wheel: $30: Steering wheel is in average condition, it was the original wheel which came with my car, its worn out on the top and sides, hence why I replaced it. However it inst damaged and can either be used to pass defects or if you are not fussed.
  • 1 x R32 GRT (Late Model) horn button: $30: The button is almost brand new and looks amazing, it works and has no cuts, digs or rips on the material at all (I might consider selling the horn and steering wheel together at a discount rate if asked)
  • 1 x R32 GTR 2 DOOR Passenger side interior door trim: $40: The passenger side door trim is in good condition, the material has 3 small digs in it (in the very top left hand side corner, another 2cm below it and 1 in the bottom right). The suede material has been carefully removed (as I intended to have leather door inserts put on), but the material is in perfect condition.
  • 1 x R32 Gun Metal Gray Drivers side folding power mirror: $30: Mirror works perfectly, both the fold in motor and the electric mirror. The upper portion of the mirror has started to fade, that's why I replaced it.
  • 2 x R32 FOUR DOOR Seat belts (Belt assembly itself, buckle, bolts, metal slider, and plastic to mount onto chairs), for both front drivers side and passengers side: $60: The belts themselves are fine, and have no wear or damage, however I wanted to have the 2 Door version in my car (with the clip for the driver for easy access) that is why they are for sale
  • 1 x R32 GTST factory orange front indicators: $40 each or 70$ for the pair: Indicators are in amazing condition. No cracks, no digs, scratches or imperfections, they are standard factory orange corner indicators and have all of their factor mounting points still intact.
  • 1 x R32 GTST/GTR fascia surround (contains the surround itself and ALL the hazard, fog, radio and other buttons, including wiper and lights). $70: The surround itself is great, ALL of the white lettering on all of the buttons and controls (including the windscreen & lights controls) are still intact. Also all of the light bulbs still light up (dim standard lights). All of the buttons work as they should and has no cracks, scratches or abrasions. It is finished in a MATT GTR Black (not tghe glossy GTST black). However, there is one small scratch on the light control and two small holes were it looks like someone has attached a boost gauge or something. Will consider selling the switches or other parts of it seperatly.
  • 2 x Centre Console cover (black / gray vinyl cover). $10 each: Material itself is perfect, has almost no signs of wear (doesnt come with the actual lid, its just the material that slides on top of it)
  • 1 x R32 Handbrake: $10: Standard R32 handbrake unit, it ok condition, the material has faded on the leather band, but mechanically it works just fine.
  • 1 x R32 2 Door drivers side, exterior plastic piece (the piece that sits right at the top of the door): $15: Good condition, the material is no longer the really glossy black that it used to be in, but isnt massively faded and still looks good).
  • 1 x R32 GTST Dash: $50: Dash in good condition, however has a bubble forming on the passenger side, other then that the material is still soft and doesn't have any rips or tears. Also comes with the top left, and top right front window vents (but not any other vents).
  • 1 x R32 GTST in white: $60: Wing is in great shape, its rear light still works completely and has no major rips or tears in the paintwork (however it has been in the garage for a while and might need to be painted to directly match your cars colour).
  • 1 x R32 Gearknob Cover: $10: Black leather gearknob cover, in ok condition (starting to look worn though),
  • 1 x R32 standard Orange 1/4 indicators: $15 for both: Standard orange indicators which sit in the front quarter panels. I took them out of my car to replace with clear ones, they still work fine.
  • 1 x R32 2 DOOR driver side exterior piece (the piece that sits around the door, shaped like an 'L') $20: Piece is still good, no massive scratches or issues, works fine, I replaced it before I found brand new ones
  • 1 x R32 2 DOOR passenger side exterior piece (the piece that sits around the door, shaped like an 'L') $20: Piece is still good, no massive scratches or issues, works fine, I replaced it before I found brand new ones
  • 1 x Used Pod Filter + Heat Shield and adapter to fit R32: $25: I replaced my old setup with a standard R32 airbox, works fine though and makes it about 30% louder then standard (atleast on my car)

In addition, I have a set of 4 17 inch rims (multistud) which fit a Nissan Pintara U12 (1990 model). I have sold the car and don't need them anymore. They are 150$ for the set. It still has some tread on them, but the front and back left rim has become slightly buckled but still drivable.

Other stuff to be added when I can start to go through it all.

Contact me if you guys are interested either on here or though my email: [email protected]

Thanks!

Pm's responded to.

Ill get those pics up today sometime for those interested.

Steering wheel is sold pending payment, ill update the list as soon as they are 100% sold.

Also not sure about postage, I will need to look into how much it costs to send items interstate :P

Hey guys, here are some pics, I also found new items: contact me if your interested in anything

  • R32 front speaker pocket: $20: Excellent front speaker pocket, removed the back mesh so its see-through
  • R32 rear boot lock mechanism: $20: works perfectly
  • R32 Badges: $10 each: R32 front blue and chrome badge and R32 side green GTST badge in excellent condition, GTR Badge (not sure if genuine)
  • ?? Speakers: $10 each: Not sure what these are but they came from my R32 when I got them?, they still work but are ancient, maybe someone can use the mounting plastics
  • R32 GTST Gearknob (Black): $15: Standard R32 GTST Black gearknob, worn.

As a heads up, the dash pics were taken at night inside my car, so they might look a bit shitty.

If you guys want anymore specific images ask me and ill try to provide.

Hey guys,

Sorry about the VERY late reply, I tried to answer as quick as I could but for some reason the forum was down?

Anyway Ive send replies!

Still taking reasonably offers or any parts, I am also thinking of splitting and selling different parts of a set of items (i.e. the dash cluster, buttons, outside frame etc) so contact me.

I also managed to get a much better camera, so if anyone wants pics ask me and ill get them for you

Hey guys, as an update the Drivers side front orange indicator is sold, and the random speakers I found.

I actually have more stuff to put up soon, and some of the old images I will be adding more higher quality images also.

Anyone else interested in these parts? if it doesnt get all sold in the next week or so I will Ebay the main stuff and send the rest to the tip.

Anyone wants to contact me" 0432549307 or my email: [email protected]

R33 S2 Wheel and other small pieces sold, Anyone want anything else here? I created a new topic section just for the dash surround parts if anyone is interested, im selling each part seperatly.

hey mate is that centre console plastic trim that goes around air-con panel, and shifter still available? It holds the coin tray thing as well?

Not sure what plastic you mean? I dont have the plastic surround that holds the ashtray if that is what you mean.

Also guys parts are still available, I would like them gone soon.

Send me a reasonable offer on anything listed and its yours, else im just going to throw most of it out :P

Hey guys, Handbrake and gearknob surround have been sold. Still a few other pieces available if anyone else is interested!

I will be getting back to the people who have requested international postage, I just haven't had the time to see how much it will cost, I would prefer to have it picked up from my place.

Regards

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey guys, sorry for the delay.

Dont have the R33 Dash Surround sections mate.

Also I only have on front indicator, so I dont think it would help you pass a RWC with just one.

Also, I have sold the R32 GTR Horn and Leather gearknob surround

The R32 handbrake is gone as it was needed.

I still have a few other small parts, R32 gtst gearknob (worn), 2 x vinyl arm rest covers, r32 dash, r32 side plastic pieces, and GTST front badge (blue), side GT badge (green) and the dash cluster (Also with the various control buttons etc). Also the r32 wing, and a U12 Pintara wing.

Its all slowly going, but would like it all gone :P

    • See if you can thermal epoxy a heatsink or two onto it?
    • The other problem was one of those "oh shit we are going to die moments". Basically the high spec Q50s have a full electric steering rack, and the povo ones had a regular hydraulic rack with an electric pump.  So couple of laps into session 5 as I came into turn 2 (big run off now, happily), the dash turned into a christmas tree and the steering became super heavy and I went well off. I assumed it was a tyre failure so limped to the pits, but everything was OK. But....the master warning light was still on so I checked the DTCs and saw – C13E6 “Heat Protection”. Yes, that bloody steering rack computer sitting where the oil cooler should be has its own sensors and error logic, and decided I was using the steering wheel too much. I really appreciated the helpful information in the manual (my bold) POSSIBLE CAUSE • Continuing the overloading steering (Sports driving in the circuit etc,) “DATA MONITOR” >> “C/M TEMPERATURE”. The rise of steering force motor internal temperature caused the protection function to operate. This is not a system malfunction. INSPECTION END So, basically the electric motor in the steering rack got to 150c, and it decided to shut down without warning for my safety. Didn't feel safe. Short term I'll see if I can duct some air to that motor (the engine bay is sealed pretty tight). Long term, depending on how often this happens, I'll look into swapping the povo spec electric/hydraulic rack in. While the rack should be fine the power supply to the pump will be a pain and might be best to deal with it when I add a PDM.
    • And finally, 2 problems I really need to sort.  Firstly as Matt said the auto trans is not happy as it gets hot - I couldn't log the temps but the gauge showed 90o. On the first day I took it out back in Feb, because the coolant was getting hot I never got to any auto trans issues; but on this day by late session 3 and then really clearly in 4 and 5 as it got hotter it just would not shift up. You can hear the issue really clearly at 12:55 and 16:20 on the vid. So the good news is, literally this week Ecutek finally released tuning for the jatco 7 speed. I'll have a chat to Racebox and see what they can do electrically to keep it cooler and to get the gears, if anything. That will likely take some R&D and can only really happen on track as it never gets even warm with road use. I've also picked up some eye wateringly expensive Redline D6 ATF to try, it had the highest viscosity I could find at 100o so we will see if that helps (just waiting for some oil pan gaskets so I can change it properly). If neither of those work I need to remove the coolant/trans interwarmer and the radiator cooler and go to an external cooler....somewhere.....(goodbye washer reservoir?), and if that fails give up on this mad idea and wait for Nissan to release the manual 400R
    • So, what else.... Power. I don't know what it is making because I haven't done a post tune dyno run yet; I will when I get a chance. It was 240rwkw dead stock. Conclusion from the day....it does not need a single kw more until I sort some other stuff. It comes on so hard that I could hear the twin N1 turbos on the R32 crying, and I just can't use what it has around a tight track with the current setup. Brakes. They are perfect. Hit them hard all day and they never felt like having an issue; you can see in the video we were making ground on much lighter cars on better tyres under brakes. They are standard (red sport) calipers, standard size discs in DBA5000 2 piece, Winmax pads and Motul RBF600 fluid, all from Matty at Racebrakes Sydney. Keeping in mind the car is more powerful than my R32 and weighs 1780, he clearly knows his shit. Suspension. This is one of the first areas I need to change. It has electronically controlled dampers from factory, but everything is just way too soft for track work even on the hardest setting (it is nice when hustling on country roads though). In particular it rolls into oversteer mid corner and pitches too much under hard braking so it becomes unstable eg in the turn 1 kink I need to brake early, turn through the kink then brake again so I don't pirouette like an AE86. I need to get some decent shocks with matched springs and sway bars ASAP, even if it is just a v1 setup until I work out a proper race/rally setup later. Tyres. I am running Yoko A052 in 235/45/18 all round, because that was what I could get in approximately the right height on wheels I had in the shed (Rays/Nismo 18x8 off the old Leaf actually!). As track tyres they are pretty poor; I note GTSBoy recently posted a porker comparo video including them where they were about the same as AD09.....that is nothing like a top line track tyre. I'll start getting that sorted but realistically I should get proper sized wheels first (likely 9.5 +38 front and 11 +55 at the rear, so a custom order, and I can't rotate them like the R32), then work out what the best tyre option is. BTW on that, Targa Tas had gone to road tyres instead of semi slicks now so that is a whole other world of choices to sort. Diff. This is the other thing that urgently needs to be addressed. It left massive 1s out of the fish hook all day, even when I was trying not too (you can also hear it reving on the video, and see the RPM rising too fast compared to speed in the data). It has an open diff that Infiniti optimistically called a B-LSD for "Brake Limited Slip Diff". It does good straight line standing start 11s but it is woeful on the track. Nismo seem to make a 2 way for it.
    • Also, I logged some data from the ECU for each session (mostly oil pressures and various temps, but also speed, revs etc, can't believe I forgot accelerator position). The Ecutek data loads nicely to datazap, I got good data from sessions 2, 3 and 4: https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-2?log=0&data=7 https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-3?log=0&data=6 https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-4?log=0&data=6 Each session is cut into 3 files but loaded together, you can change between them in the top left. As the test sessions are mostly about the car, not me, I basically start by checking the oil pressure (good, or at least consistent all day). These have an electrically controlled oil pump which targets 25psi(!) at low load and 50 at high. I'm running a much thicker oil than recommended by nissan (they said 0w20, I'm running 10w40) so its a little higher. The main thing is that it doesn't drop too far, eg in the long left hand fish hook, or under brakes so I know I'm not getting oil surge. Good start. Then Oil and Coolant temp, plus intercooler and intake temps, like this: Keeping in mind ambient was about 5o at session 2, I'd say the oil temp is good. The coolant temp as OK but a big worry for hot days (it was getting to 110 back in Feb when it was 35o) so I need to keep addressing that. The water to air intercooler is working totally backwards where we get 5o air in the intake, squish/warm it in the turbos (unknown temp) then run it through the intercoolers which are say 65o max in this case, then the result is 20o air into the engine......the day was too atypical to draw a conclusion on that I think, in the united states of freedom they do a lot of upsizing the intercooler and heat exchanger cores to get those temps down but they were OK this time. The other interesting (but not concerning) part for me was the turbo speed vs boost graph: I circled an example from the main straight. With the tune boost peaks at around 18psi but it deliberately drops to about 14psi at redline because the turbos are tiny - they choke at high revs and just create more heat than power if you run them hard all the way. But you can also see the turbo speed at the same time; it raises from about 180,000rpm to 210,000rpm which the boost falls....imagine the turbine speed if they held 18psi to redline. The wastegates are electrically controlled so there is a heap of logic about boost target, actual boost, delta etc etc but it all seems to work well
