Hey guys. decided i am going to downgrade a bit due to buying a house. Has been my dream car for years but cannot afford to keep it at the moment unfortunately. Not in a hurry to sell so am not interested ridiculous offers and please keep any negative comments to yourselves, thanks.

It is a black 5 speed manual '94 model, with just on 80,000 on the clock.

Car is almost completely standard, except for turbo back exhaust system with varex muffler and twin apexi pods.

Comes with 19" starcorps with heaps of dish on the rears. fit really well and show off the slotted rotors and calipers which have been painted red.

also has a heavy duty clutch installed by previous owner just before i bought the car.

It has had the standard series 6 rear spoiler removed and the holes are just plugged at the moment as i have a series 8 rear spoiler that i was going to put on but havent got into painted yet.

Interior is in good condition and the exterior is in pretty good condition for its age. Has a few minor marks, stonechips etc.

Like most cars of its age it has a few small problems which i dont have time to fix. These are:

- tacho works intermittently. apparently caused by a lose connection

- has a squeak coming from the rear of the car when you are on a bumpy road or going up a driveway. needs a rear swaybar bush to be changed to fix it.

- when you start the car after it has been sitting for several hours it has an alarm come on to say you need to add coolant. it only stays on for 30 seconds or so but i just find it a bit annoying. this is a common problem in this series rx-7 and is just an issue with a sensor.

- has a spot on the front bar where the paint is cracked so it needs to be resprayed

i have only owned the car for a bit over 6 months and have not used it very much at all. just short trips to and from work mainly. It is a great head turning car. sounds really tough and looks very tidy. it is also pretty quick for an almost stock car. would love to spend the time and money fixing up the problems but i would rather spend it on the house at the moment. As ive said price is negotiable due to the couple of small problems.

will ad pics tomorrow after ive given it a wash.

contact by pm on here or 0402630053 (prefer sms due to poor reception in our area)

car is located near Windsor, NSW

$17, 500 negotiable

update

put the car into the mechanic the other day and got the spark plugs changed, running really well now

the coolant alarm going off was found to be due to a very slow leak out of the water pump. not an urgent fix just requires it to be checked once a week or so.

will take this into account if negotiating price if it is not yet fitted with a new one at time of sale.

i go away next week so best contact will probably be by email if you have any question

cheers guys, had several offers but not quite what im after

this badge only came out on the earlier fd models and only on the jap imported cars, the australian ones had the different badge like a number 8, same as on mx-6. and i think the series 7's and 8's started using the normal mazda badge

oh i see...hehe would u swap this car for a skyline??

nah not really open to trades at the moment. want to get something a bit more practical and cheaper to insure for the moment and im pretty picky with what i get so would prefer a straight cash sale.. i can definately see myself getting another r34 in the next 18 months or so though :D

make some offers guys, prefer local sale can willing to help organise interstate transport. i've found a car im after to tow the boat for summer so would like to sell this soon. cheers

Hi Mate. Just wondering if you would be selling with RWCertificate and if that would be valid in Victoria. If no RWCertificate, then can you tell me exactly what is required for Road Worthy. Maybe scan a certificate from an Authorised mechanic? I am just guessing because we can do that in Victoria. Not sure about NSW. Thanks! :)

hey mate, i havent organised a road worthy cert for it. im not exactly sure what you would need for it in victoria. it would need the horn fixed, one of the headlight motors is a bit sticky sometimes, so they might not like that, and depends what their take on pod filters and loudish exhaust are. the pods and exhaust are the only mods, but im not sure of victorian rules on those thing. cheers mate.

price drop 15, 500 as is pretty firm

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
