you were using a link with "youtu.be" :)

(i've fixed it for ya)

Forum update coming in a month or two will allow for that, but for now you need to get it exact

Thanks Ash, didn't realise that I could change the insert media link and drop the . from youtu.be

Now to edit a few more for the motorsport section.

There is another HH on with the Gippsland car club on the 3rd Dec

http://www.gippslandcarclub.com.au/suppregs.html

I'm taking the EVO to see how it stacks up against the GSR after missing out on the AROCA PI because they stuffed up the entry mailout.

Only problem with that day Clive (i read the regs 2 weeks ago), is that there is upto 100 entries...

Any idea when it ends? As it's twilight I'd say about 7:45pm given Sunset will be ~8:30pm. So a normal "8 hours".

Given we had what, 7-8 runs with 35 cars @ the WRX day and with 45-50 cars its about 5 runs... With 100 cars you'll get probably 3, maybe 4 timed runs. Lot of effort for such little runs just to save $20 :D

I mean if they only get 50 cars then of course that works out pretty well hehe.

entries for 2012 AROCA Sprint Series Round 1 Phillip Island February 4 SATURDAY should be open just after their December round!

yes 100 cars would suck, but as they are not running the figure 8 they can release the next car when the last car is at mid track. I was talkng to Royce about this and sounds like 30-40 % more laps vs the fig 8. How many laps did everyone get in Feb?

Fig 8 is good but more laps is better. Maybe for future events WRX could run the figure 8 only when there is low numbers of cars?

Last HH I did was with FFCC with 35 entries so hopefully there won't be 100 cars.

In any event it's only 1-1/2 kours away so rather than doing nothing in Dec I'll at least let the EVO out for a run :-)

I'll let you all know how it goes.

If they even get it up on their web site. They didn't for this last round.

Sure as hell they won't email past competitors to let them know about it.

Apparently they have preferred list who get in first, or even last, before the general public get a look in.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
