rego'd yet?

Aiming for compliance within a month.

Did those RCA work out?? Did you buddy ever get his set?? Car looks good so far can not wait to see it finished.

Hey Derux! Installing them very soon. Am sure they will work great. Thanks. Did you not hear back from ghostrider?

you're going to attempt to make power with undersized carbys. thats my guess :)

Wrong :)

C'mon Jason give me some credit. Here's a few hints. Their 41mm, have no chokes and came out of one of these little terrors.

they certainly look the part, i would be interested to see if they can flow enough on idle jet/needle to get enough resolution for a decent idle on something twice the capacity they are designed for.

My Honda 1300 Coupe 9 ran quad Keihins; they went and sounded great. Obviously, they were on a 1300cc engine though, so no idea how they'll work out on an FJ.

You'll score a million points for interesting if you do an NA FJ in my book.

Won't lie, being different is a major factor.

Any pics of the Honda?

Amongst the many fitted to 1.6L 4age's.. Have seen them on 2 SR20's(+ an SR20 kit for sale on YAJ) and one FJ20. As well as two L series running sextuplets.

Mine are the largest model. From what I've seen they cope well with 50-60hp per carb.

Understand completely. Don't care about beating every v6 commodore at the lights with this car. Anything further than a high flow on this would be kinda silly anyway with the tyres and camber it has.

I think if weight is brought down to -1100kg and 220-240hp with these carbs it will still be fun, sound great and serve it's main purpose, being unique.

Turbo engine will stay until a lighter chassis is acquired and readied for conversion. (really want a 1600).

I have a sinking feeling Honda pics are on my old digi camera that I dropped then hurled into the bin without pulling the memory card... like a spaz. I may have some photos I can scan though - I'll see what I can dig up. There's a decent pic of the quad set up on the wikipedia page though for the meanwhile.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
