THE LAST DECA OF 2011

Sat 19 November

And once again we ask for your assistance

For this event to SMOOTH on TIME and SAFELY we need a small group of volunteers (OFFICIALS) to help

out in 3 sections in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

All Officials on the day will be supplied lunch and drinks and go into the draw to win 1 of 2 BP fuel cards..

An Officials breifing will be held before the drivers breifing. So all Officials will need to be at

the Shepparton DECA complex before 8am on Saturday.

Be aware NO DRIVERS BREIFING OR COMPERTITION will take place until all Officials positions have beed filled.

So if this sounds like you or 1 or more of your friends or family post up in here and i add you to my list.

Cheers WayneO.

First DECA in 2 or 3 years I will be out of town otherwise you know I'd be there volunteering... :(

I echo what Jules said - best vantage point as a volunteer, AND you get free lunch - plus this month go into the draw for a $50 fuel voucher.... awesome!!

Since Bec is racing I'll take her spot as the long wang starter!

Long Wang starter is my spot :P (but I wont be there this month so you can do it ;) )

me and 4-5 others are 100% dowm for spidpan fun. no volunteering though lol

volunteering dosent mean your stuck doing something all day, you can still go out in cars and that

you and the 4-5 others would be much appreciated for the help.

even do the wangs in the morning which means your free in the arvo to go on the skidpan

just a thought anyways

That's a shithouse attitude. DECA isn't run for the spectators, get your mates to volunteer.

we could make it a NON SPECTATOR event, so the only way people could get in is if they are driving or volunteering :whistling:

That idea has been floated before. I don't necessarily think it's the best idea but the day is always short on volunteers as people come up to watch the spectacle (for free) and have no intent on ever helping. Maybe charging for spectator entry would be a good idea.

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
