B-Man
Well Ben - you can add my very ordinary effort of tonight. R/T = .479 60' = 2.528 330' = 6.113 660' = 8.872 mph = 91.66 1000' = 11.178 ET = 13.118 MPH = 116.89 Km/h = 188.12 Must be able to do better then that - me thinks the driver needs more practice. I'll scan the timeslip later - but you saw it. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/9/#findComment-863168 Share on other sites

whatsisname
I know exactly how you feel Brendan It's all part of the learning experience mate. I've had a drag meet where I started out with a 13.943 @ 117.35mph. In a way it actually makes you feel even better when you do finally nail a good one. Gotta say though mate, you really suck at getting off the line 91.66mph at the 1/8th is very promising though. To give you an idea I had the following numbers on a 91.91mph at the 1/8th: 60' - 2.090 330' - 5.651 660' - 8.377 MPH - 91.91 1000' - 10.739 ET - 12.690 MPH - 119.12 My best numbers are: 60' - 2.143 330' - 5.492 660' - 8.188 MPH - 90.48 1000' - 10.531 ET - 12.473 MPH - 118.34 As you can see from my numbers above, it's a fine line between wheel spin and bogging it down. In the top run I had a good 60' (2.090) but then it light the rears up at about 70-80' and I lost out on ET. In the bottom one I came off the line slower and got better grip and therefore a quicker ET but lost out on top end MPH. B-Man
Yeah - I SUCK at getting off the line - It's much harder that you think hey. If I give it too much, I seem to either wheelspin, back off and bog down - or the clutch slips (yeah still slipping on high boost) That run was on low boost - high boost is slower (13.6) MPH is 117 - I'm sure it is all driver related though..... I was a bit disapointed to be honest - but hey practice make perfect Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/9/#findComment-863214 Share on other sites
whatsisname
Hahaha... how hard can it be to go dead straight (well most of the time) for 400m? It's easy! Not when you've got a turbocharged engine that comes on boost like a mofo! Keep at it mate. In another meet or two you'll have knocked 0.5sec off at the very least. You'll probably go mid/low 12's @ 120mph within the next two meets. And then when Brett gives you a shot on the Nittos you be into the 11's @ mid 120's. B-Man
He he - yeah me too - I had chronic axle tramp when trying to do a burnout - I think good suspension would help with the launches and traction - But hey - it's easy to blame the car when most likely is the driver in my case Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/38247-sau-14-mile-times-v2/page/9/#findComment-863422 Share on other sites
