Hi fellow Skyline owners

I have just purchased an Aussie Delivered R32 Black GTR Skyline, which now compliments my R31 Series 1 and R31 Series 2 Skylines

Out of the 100 Aussie deliveries can anyone out there help me with the build number of my car out of the 100?

I believe it can be established via the chassis number which is 6F4KBNR32A0016034

Hoping someone out there can assist me?

Thanks....

Hi and welcome.

You will find some interesting reading here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/343750-aussie-delivered-r32-gtrs/

If you fast forward to post number 71 you will see that your car is number 19.

Did you buy this one from Shannons? My mate nearly bought that car from the previous owner about 10 months ago but found another one just as he was about to pay a deposit.

I know a little bit about the car so I'm happy to help out with what I know if you want.

Cheers,

Bob.

OK..... I'll answer my own question..

Yes it is the Shannons car as I can cross reference it from here - http://www.bonhams.com/aus/auction/19372/lot/304/

It was originally bought from Shannons at auction in mid 2009, private sale in late 2010 unsuccessful. The car went to Bonhams ...... No sale.

Auctioned at Shannons...... No Sale but then I guess you bought it from their Park and Sell facility?

Cheers,

Bob.

Thanks for that info Bob, much appreciated

I was the phone bidder that was bidding against you at Shannons when you purchased your car

Unique Cars reported that there was strong bidding for the car but as you would know, it was only me and you?

Thanks again Bob for the help re the build number

Gday and welcome, if you could please put your details up in the ADM thread, there is a link to it in my sig.

Cheers!

Ken

Hi Ken, happy to add my car to the link on your sig, but the website is not exactly user friendly?

Once you click on the link it brings up all the various postings, so from here how do I add my car?

Thanks Rod...

Ahh Cool.......... For some reason I thought the phone bidder was an interstate person but obviously not.

The bidding was strong up to $48K . At that stage there were about 6 bidders who eventually fell away.

You wouldn't recognise the car now, it's 10 times what it was 12 months ago.

I've probably over capitalised on the car but at least it's where I want it to be.

Hopefully we can catch up one day.

Regards,

Bob.

Rod, just go to the last page and under the last post click "Add Reply" and post up your info there.

Pretty easy really.

    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
    • Should have taken that opportunity to slot in a twin scroll turbo setup. Maybe next time.
