I recently fitted a new fan clutch (Davies Craig Part No. 5265) to my R32 GTST.

When the engine is cold the fan disengages as it should but once the engine is warmed up, at normal operating temperatures, the fan is running full speed. The temperature gauge in the car is sitting slightly above half way which has always been normal for this car and under bonnet temps are fairly low.

I think the new clutch is engaging too early, but would like to test it. I assume if I put the clutch in a pot of water and heat it I should see the thermostatic spring unwind when it gets to the temperature where it engages, but what temperature should that be?
