Just wondering if anyone could fill me in , I have a problem where my normal idle is sitting around 1400 rpm , I had asked Nissan to have a look at it and they said that I will have to change the throttle chamber , is this a problem anyone else has had ! And did u have to buy the whole throttle set up to fix this problem , thanks

Idle problems are somewhat annoying as so many different sensors and systems contribute toward how the car thinks it should idle. I had a warm idle spiking/hunting problem on my 33 and - long story short - it turned out the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor was in error, resulting in the ecu randomly thinking the car was cold and thereby adjusting idle and fuel maps to suit - resulting in high ide.

Id start with a check of any fault codes that are being thrown incase it is a problem like above. Otherwise it may be a trial and error situation to find the source. Other causes may be vacuum hose leaks, dodgy or dirty AAC valve, sticking throttle plates - generally start with the cheapest (vacuum leak searching) and go from there...but I hope the Fault Code can give a faster answer :)
