Ok so for the time being lets just talk about what dates could work.

My schedule is looking fairly free at the moment, but like every Christmas season that could change very quickly.

Would earlier in December work better than later? 10th of December maybe?

Also, whereabouts are most people located? How far is everyone keen to drive and what sort of roads? Got a few ideas up my sleeve but keen to see what others suggest.

I'm out north.

I prefer twisties, but don't mind a mix.

At this stage any time in December works, but earlier is probably better than later, because the later you leave it the more likely something is going to pop up.

If you're going to organise the cruise does that mean you might actually turn up? :nyaanyaa:

Bahaha that's the plan Ryan!

Jase, given the weather this time of year is more and more reliable, I was thinking about finishing up at Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens. I know there are a lot of families with Stageas so I figure if people want to pack a lunch and hang out they can, while others could head across to the Crafers Hotel.

Was having a think today about a potential route that would have us cruising 2/3 of the time with a few twisties around the place to keep it interesting. Bit tricky since I haven't been on a damn Stagea cruise yet and don't know what you guys all like.

ill be keen any time, except sundays nd saturday the 24th (day before xmas so doubt it will be then anyway). the 17th is the hardtuned xmas cruise, so cancel that saturday out. but ill be keen for the 10th if its mid to late afternoon.

I'll be up for this although the twistier the better IMO

And a pub meal sounds like a good idea too

And I should be able to bring a few sub enclosures along too as i should have the molds done by then

Hardtuned Xmas Cruise? Saw that. Got Copbait written all over it...

Pub meal and picnic both sound ok with me. I'm sure theres a local chicken shop or something where we can get some food.

Bahahah yeah not a chance in hell I'd take any car I own near that cruise.

So maybe the weekend of the 10th/11th?

Peter, where are you C34 lads mounting your subs? I want one for my M35 but got no idea where to hide the damn thing. Need a custom enclosure!

lately apparently they have been working with cruise organisers more, especially on charity cruises. but i am still not sure whether i will go or not. see how i feel on the day.

Hey, anyone willing to loan me the back of their M35 can have a box for material costs alone, which would be approx $100. I would need you to leave the car with me for about 4-5 hours each day for 2 days, then it would take about 10 minutes for a final fitting.

The enclosure would be ready approx a week later as i need time to produce a mold from this plug, this is approx time for an enclosure similar to mine

This would be the first off to make a mold. After that the every box c34 or m35 will be approx $200 thereafter

At the moment i do have intentions of producing both left and right enclosures for the C34, But for the time being the passenger side is the first to be molded depending on demand i may make one for the drivers side

I'll be posting some updated pics of the enclosure and amp rack in my thread, any design ideas for a m35 install would greatly be appreciated

If you need to ask any Q's please direct them to my thread or via PM so i can keep track of them

done.....I emailed that pic of your car, will email my phone number aswell..... I'd say it would have to be on the drivers side as the tv tuner etc is on the passenger side, and it would be a lot easier on the right (then you wouldn't have to relocate the tuner etc) <BR><BR>edit: actually all the atessa pump resivoir etc is on the right side...... We've already gone fairly off topic so I'll just continue the conversation here - this probably won't work with a cargo net. >_<

How about a spare wheel sub enclosure? (Like so: http://www.hyperaustralia.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4687) Too much vibration from the plastic on top?

Keen for another cruise and the 10th or the 17th would be great

i will also be keeping an eye on the Sub Enclosure for the M35 (needs a few other things first)

i saw the work on Peter's own car and the quality was excellent it looked almost factory fitted!!!

To take this back on topic..

The people who actually TURNED UP to the cruise on Sunday talked about this in the motor museum car park Jase! :nyaanyaa:

And yes, Pete can do it. I'm not sure if I want one like that, because I think I'd loose that plastic tray where I store heaps of little, loose crap.

So do we need a poll or are we looking at the 10th?

More off topic

Sorry I thought that the enclosure would petrude past the original trim on the side???

Also ryan are you talking about the little tray on the side? not the big spare wheel well one yeah?

I should have had a look at petes on sunday

I'm talking about the tray under the main floor, on top of the spare wheel well. I have heaps of crap on that. Have to compromise on something if I want a sub though :(

Pete hasn't done an M35 one yet so I'm sure he can make it however you need, most M35 owners will want something fairly practical I think?

    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
    • Not yet quite as bad as what we've seen a Jim Berry clutch do in an R32 GTR though when it decided to cut a chassis rail in half... Still very very gnarly and a great reason to avoid.
