Hi everybody, new to the forum. Been a fan of the c34 Stagea since i first saw one a few years back, but have not had the need for a practical family performance wagon until now, so hunted around and picked up a mint S2 c34 Stagea RS-V which we picked up last night  . Its completely stock, been sitting for a good few months in the sellers garage( as he had moved to a property with a dirt road and didnt want to damage it, so bought a 4wd) so after a pretty interesting drive to a servo with good 98 octane fuel( it missed and carried on, something it didnt really do much of when i took it for the first test drive) i filled up and headed for home. Car ran so differently once it got a dose of fresh petrol, still has a bit of a miss at about 4-5000, almost a surging, but will change the plugs and see what develops there. Anyway i know this has probably been covered soooooo many times on here, but im going to ask anyway. The Xanavi multi av unit in the dash, how do you get it to do anything? All i have on-screen is a "Nissan" backdrop with "CD" and some jap in the bottom left corner of the screen. Pushed all possible button combinations, but nothing. Put a cd in, and all i get is nothing, and it wont eject the disc either? Am i doing something wrong? The climate buttons work, but without the screen i cant move vents, etc. Help!!:worship:

Heres a pic of the "Family" wagon, so proud!

Sorry, should have said i was located in Melbourne  , the cd's in the drive, but nothings happening. And now its stuck in there and wont eject.

Cheers 260tech, will pm Chris now  . Oh, and does anybody know whereabouts i could lay my hands on the "RS" decal thats on the rear tailgate, as after only having it for 2 days we parked it in Box Hill today to do some last minute crissy shopping and some b#$%^d peeled it off!!!! I know it was peeled and not fallin off cause the residue left behind is still sticky! Trying to keep it all original and this is what happens

Dunno about Aussie suppliers of decals, probably Nissan come to think off it or Justjap or Google: Importmonster, Nengun, RHDjapan, open Pandora's Box & enjoy the ride.

    • Yeah, I don't believe the M35 uses a deadhead system.
    • Have you done your thinking backwards? 3 bar, 43.5 psi pressure drop being the presumed specification for an injector, means you need 3 bar upstream when they are firing into atmospheric pressure, and more upstream pressure than that when on boost (you add your boost to your rail pressure to maintain 3 bar across the injector) and you need..... less pressure upstream when you have vacuum in the manifold. So, presuming that you're idling at -10 psi, then you only need ~23 psi in the rail. I realise that I did not need to say all of that to you specifically Matt, once you'd realised your mistake. It's mostly there for complete clarity for others.
    • Have you reached out to the guys at Spool Imports? They are a Ross dealer, I can imagine they would have the rings just sitting on the shelf (I could be wrong).
    • There's one for sale at Grand Auto Wreckers in Lonsdale (SA), for .... let's suggest the sum they're asking for will make you cry. You may have to embrace the idea of modifying the rear subframe to accept some other diff. You could probably find a way to wangle a shortnose into there, with a custom rear adapter and some sort of shenanigans to relocate the front mounts. This has probably already been done by others, so there might be some guidance available as to how easy/impossible it is, out there in the googles. But you possibly needn't restrict yourself to Nissan diffs if you're going to contemplate that. There are similarish Toyota diffs, possibly some Euro ones, possibly some Seppo ones.
    • The ball joint taper and arm taper have to match angle and diameter, but just doing the bushes is a much better option.....seems like the industry moved to "it is cheaper to replace the whole arm than take on the labour for changing this bushes", glad the aftermarket supports it
