Hey guys,

I'm looking to sell my v35.

But just confused about how much it is actually worth.

Is the data on redbook.com.au accurate?

How is the market for our cars? Should ours be more expensive or cheaper than the 350z when compared to them by the same year model...

I've advertised it on Carsales, it's been 4 days now but no calls... :( been averaging 30-40 detailed views per day though...

Errrrrr dude, seriiously, you are concerned about 3-4 days and no calls? It will take you 6 months AT LEAST to sell your car - you may not have a single phone call in that time, unless you advertise it at a bargain basement price (and even then you will struggle) ..... the car market is the worst ever. It took me 8 months to sell my old R34 for $18,500 and it had $20k of mods on it .... different car, but you get the idea.

Our cars are a double edged curse ... they are awesome and seem unique cos no-one knows what they are and the average Joe thinks they are worth MUCH more than $20k-$30k (people are SHOCKED when I tell them mine is 8 years old and only worth $30kish). But, by the same token, because no-one knows what they are, people aren't out there looking for V35s. And those that are have a LOT to choose from (check around on Ebay, Carsales, car yards etc). Sad but true.

^^ Good advice. The majority of the population don't even know they exist, so if you are really keen to sell it, you should be trying to get it out there in everyone's face.. park it in a prominent position with sales signs on it (if you local council will let you do this!).

I have to agree that no-one seems to know how much they are worth. Just a quick look on carsales will usually reveal several cars of a similar age/condition/features, with as much as a $15k price variation. As a reference, I brought my 2005 6MT 350GT sedan with 75,000km for $19k about 3 months ago on carsales, and it has been sitting on there for several months.

Mine is on carsales for nearly 6 months now and got 3 phone calls, 5 SMS's and about 4 scams.

My advice is just be patience. My car price will stay at $23k as it is until I really need to sell it. Good luck.

hey victor, how did that deal go for the car....

Hey Shiva, the potential buyer is waiting to get this loan approved. I should know something next week. As far as I am concerned, it's not a scam as I've done research on his local bank and have talked to few people.

Well that's a relief I thought something was wrong with my ad...

Maybe I will consider a dealer trade in...

But thanks guys!

Hey mate, trade-in price will most likely be very low. I showed my V35 to a Nissan dearler where I bought my other Nissan just to know what they think in August. They only offered me $15k! :(

Hi mate, do you mean our V35 only worth $15k if you trade in for other cars? That is unbelievable...why all the V35 become so cheap recently? I still remember I bought mine 28k from dealer last year.ohmy.gif

That's just by itself, not a trade-in. You can get more with private sale.

I think it's just all about being patient and waiting for a right person. When that right person comes along who knows the real value of your car that's not cheap compare to others because it's been taken of, you won't be disappointed.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
