That's due to the temp sensor for climate control. This is located behind the little slits in your centre console.

a: It may be unplugged

or

b: There's a flexible platic hose thase goes over it... this may have come off.

This is 99% chance the solution to full time heat.

Doc.

  • 4 months later...

Air con doesn't go down to eighteen degrees, but on display it can go from 32 to 18. But still hot air. Took the car for a service and was told it was an electrical problem, not gas. Which required taking the whole dash out to get to the electricals. All up $300 for just diagnosing the problem, without parts or repair. WTF

Tried the self diagnosis from the manual and got these No.'s

22 = Invehicle Sensor

25 = Sunboard Sensor

36 = Mode door and Intake motor position sensors

- FRE

Removed the front panel infront of gear stick, took out the stereo and found the black tube and Incabin temperature sensor. It looked like the tube was broken off the sensor so taped it back together and made sure it was connected where the little slits on the front panel are. Still nothing. Can anyone help me, it sucks when it's a 40 degree day and your car has been in the sun and no funkin air con. Cheers

Do any of you guys know if this stuff is applicable to the r34?

It is impossible to find ANY info on the 34 :confused: I mean besides a spec sheet...

there seems to be a lot of "knowledge" for the 32 / 33 [factory and aftermarket stuff] but not mine...maybe i will have to wait a while until there are more around..?

I've now got the same 19c or above = hot problem. My odometer was replaced recently 'due to it stop working', do you think when they replaced it they might have accidentally unplugged a hose / sensor for the climate control somehow while remove the dash or how ever they got to it?

Anybody from Newcastle know the easy fix for it :wave:? Remove the dash to check the hose / sensor?

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
