Hey guys,

just need some help deciding sizes on which sized rims to get on my R34 GT?

The car currently has an impul kit with S15 stockies.. doesnt look too good without the right rims.

I know 18"s would be enough.. but I'd like to go with 19"s!

What I'm thinking of getting are: 19" + 9.5 with a +22 offset with 245/35/19 tyres on the front, and 19" +10.5 with a +22 offset with 265/35/19 tyres on the back.

I just need to know if i'll definitely need to roll / flare my guards on the back? or do I need to do the same on the front as well?

Cheers,

Not sure how different R33 and R34 brake setups are BUT I test fitted a set of Varrstoen 2.2.2 19x9.5 +22 on the front and for some reason, it fouled on the brake caliper (where the "Nissan" writing was).

I was always under the assumption that the closer to 0 the offset is, the further away it'd be but I think the spoke design is what caused the rubbing of the caliper. Just something to think about

I have the 9.5 +22 all round on mine and they fit fine but not to sure bout the 10.5.. I am running coilovers and its jacked up pretty much as high as they go atm.. Still in the build stage.. This is what they look like..

Firstly let me say, they look great, and will look even better once you lower it some, BUT, if those are Varrestoens, do yourself a favour and remove the Volk and Rays stickers....

Otherwise you might as well go and stick a gtr badge on the car....

Hahaha I knew it was only a matter of time before someone had a go at me for that.. It was my brothers idea, and he had a set of genuine stickers so we put them on.. I like the look of the stickers, but im definately first to jump and let ppl know they arnt real haha

People can think what they want.. I think i like it how it is, and yeah one day il prob get over it and take them off but until then oh well.. Whoever owned it before me put a nur spec badge on it.. I don't want to take it off cause it will prob leave a mark.. And I may be getting a whole new rear bar anyways so it will come off then.. Gtt. .

    • I'm working on the assumption that our friend Jasmine here is a Russian (or, possibly Ukrainian) spammer/spambot, based purely on the number of such that I have been having to neuter in the last few weeks. IP address for the OP above was in WA. But that could have been via VPN. Posting at quarter to 4 in the morning is a good sign of being from somewhere in Europe. The last Jasmine that I kicked in the cooch was IP addressed in Ukraine. Even that could have been via VPN, and the bitchbot could have been from Russia, Serbia, China or anywhere. Regardless, was a spambot, so I killed it with fire. The fact that our new friend Jasmine here did not respond in any way to my tart query strongly suggests to me that this OP was just the establishment phase of a user able to be activated for spamming in a week, or 3 or 10.
    • The stock manifold is "mostly" divided. The divider actually has a notch cut out of it where it would meet the divider on a twin scroll housing. I have no idea why. But whatever the reason, it would cause some cross talk when used with a twin scroll housing. People do put twin scroll housings onto that manifold. But I'm of the opinion that proper twin scroll internal gating is...not really possible at this scale. You'd be throwing good effort (ie $$) after bad, when you really should be doing something else. Notwithstanding that.... I am not sure what the idea that you are floating has to do with the difference in comp cover position caused by the highflow using a shorter length core than the stock Hitachi one. Can you clarify what you meant?
