Changed Power Window Regulator

hey stagea owners,

changed my drivers side power window regulator/motor because old one burnt out the other week.. and noticed that my power window works with the key out of ignition? only the driver side one works? and auto up/down seems to not work porperly anymore? i removed and replaced regulator back into the same position?

I've noticed that after you disconnect the battery the auto window doesn't work for a while? I think it has to determine where the top and bottom positions are.

correct. you have to establish top and bottom limits.. i have found that if you just press the button untill the window is all the way down. then pull the button all the way up. the limits are set and the auto function will be enabled again\

ill check now.. i was thinking maybe when i connected the window the window wasnt full up/down in the middle.. so it might be tripping out thinking the window is fully/down.. but doesnt explain working without key in??
