Hey,

I have been stock piling aftermarket parts for a while and once my turbo arrives I'll be pretty much set to put everything in and get it tuned. The car currently has 3" turbo back exhaust (gutted cat), fmic installed which I put on. My jim berry clutch will be going in within a week or 2.

I have nismo 555cc injectors, nismo intank fuel pump, z32 nistuned ecu, z32 afm, metal induction pipe (with stock returns), greddy profec b ebc and the r34 turbo is currently with stao at hypergear getting high flowed.

Im not currently that great with doing work on my car, but I want to learn because i daresay this wont be the last of the mods I do and i actually enjoy working on it.

Just wondering if anyone is willing to help me out with putting a few of the above items in the car before i take it to get it tuned? Im happy to pay you if needed. I know i can get it all put in at the tuners, but i wont be able to see/learn how it is all done by paying them to do it for me.

I realise that if all of those things go in at once, the car will have to be towed which is fine, but even if someone is willing to help me put in the parts that wont affect the cars ability to limp to the tuners thatd be good.

The nistune board should be a straight plug in from what I have been told, as i bought it from Matt at nistune and he said he had worked out a way to do all the modifications necessary inside the ecu rather than have to fiddle with the pins etc. I think he also loaded the r33 base map with the er34 afm on there for me as well.

.

If anyone is willing to help me out, let me know and ill be happy to remunerate you however you see fit.

Hey Mitch

I'm going to be doing the exact same job as you when my last thing the z32 shows up.

Once mine has been sent of I will have a spare fuel rail that you could chuck your injectors in while you wait

Then you can limp to the tuner and get the fuel rail installed in less time because they wont have to do 1 injector at a time.

yeh, thatd be awesome. Did you put your ss1pu turbo in or did you get someone to do it for you?

You could just try to swap ecu's, if the z32 one doesn't work then swap back. But if it does then you could get the turbo on, ecu in, injectors and afm in. do a touch up tune to adjust for the injectors and new afm in nistune and limp it to the tuner. That's what I did in mine...

That is all good in theory and would definently be a preferable option. But to be honest im not confident enough to remove and install a turbo/injectors by myself. I would be ok with changing the afm over except the whole plug wires soldering issue...

I'd be up for giving you a hand but not sure on where as this weather is starting to get crappy.

I've nearly finished the project I have in the shed but still have a few things left!

Let me know when your thinking of starting to see if im available!

Well im going to get a shop to put the clutch in because i think thatd just be way too much hassle to try and do on stands in a driveway, plus I don't even know where to begin with doing that. I was thinking it'd be better to do the metal intake and nismo intank pump first as they are meant to be less hassle. They also won't affect the drivability of the car with no ecu tune, because the car is my daily and I don't want it off the road for ages.

Then, try to do the stuff that is going to affect the drivability like turbo injectors and afm as close together as possible and get a tune done more or less ASAP.

Hey mate I won't physically touch your car but I will show you how to do it by telling you what to do?

I have looked at a fair few how to guides on here and they are good, but its not the same as having someone who knows what they are doing with you that you can ask questions etc.

I will be putting my turbo in probably some time this week.

It will be my first time as well so once that's done and if all goes smooth for me I am more then happy to come around and help.

I will just be doing my Turbo

Bashing the guts out of my Cat

and wiring up the Z32 AFM

While im at it I might even chuck my old lowered springs in.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
