Hello,

Currently searching for a VspecII bonnet, if you have one please let me know.

Not fussed on colour as i know these are hard to come by, and probably near impossible to find in yellow so will be requiring a respray anyways.

May consider a non vspecII bonnent for the right price and modify it to look like one.

Let me know, PM or call/txt 0435 721 814

Cheers,

Anthony

Yea just make a hole to suit, would leave the process up to the panel beater guys to do what they think is best.

All i know is that it has been done before and works...

interesting to know how you could modify a standard bonnet to put the triangle? can you grind a hole? or oxy or something?

Peter at Bodyform was fascinated at the job done on this bonnet.

He looked at it for at least a minute and asked, "How on earth did he (the panelbeater) fit plastic against metal and for no expansion cracks to form?"

Underneath, there was a thin film of temperature-stable adhesive placed between the flanges of the NACA Duct and the aluminium.

It also turned out that the triangular hole did not interfere with the reinforcement ribbing underneath either.

Great job as always by Nepean Valley Smash Repairs.

Thanks for the extra detail Terry, I'm also considering Japanese copies of vsii bonnets, but not sure if they are any good or not...

I've got the added cost of painting whatever bonnet I get as there is a very slim chance of finding one in yellow.

Hi Mate

I have a genuine V-Spec II hood in stock at the moment in white, it has small damage on the passenger side edge (easy repair seeing as you're respraying to suit your car) and the price won't be too hideous. Drop me a msg if keen and I'll shoot you through some pics of the damage :)

Cheers
