Rb20 Wireing On 25 Motor Problems

ok so im running a rb25det series 1 motor with series 2 ecu and afm, runs good but decided to put the rb25 ignitor in it, now i have repinned the ignitor plugs as the fireing order was differant but now it dosnt start at all, anyone got any ideas?????

Series 2 coils have the ignitor built in - doesn't require the separate ignitor.

running s1 coils, how hard is it to mod the s1 coil pack harness with the new plugs for the s2 coils? and is it even possible to use the s1 harness and solder it to the s1 coil harness to get rid of the ignitor

Which ignitor were you using originally?

The ignitor doesn't determine the firing order, pin #1 fires coil #1, pin #2 fires coil #2, etc. The ecu controls the firing order.

using the rb20det ignitor now, been told i could get a microtech x6 ignitor and wire that in aswell, still want to know why im burning the guts out of the ignitors recken its got something to do with the bee r liminter?

The easiest solution is to keep your R33 S1 engine harness but buy an S2 coil pack harness and add a mating plug the S1 loom to suit the S2 coil pack harness. I had to do this when I replaced the R33 S1 motor in my dads R32 with an R34 motor. It is quite straight forward if you have the wiring diagrams.

ok so went and bought a new harness for it from a s1 rb25, now spentt 8 hours tracing wires and repinning plugs and getting no where, is there someone who knows what there doing with the harness and will touch the harness after i have allredy started it
