Hey guys/girls im new to this forum so not sure where to post something like this.

Basicly im a 19 year old seeking another job in the metal trade.

I used to work for a place called Denkat trucks building custom made truck body's and special fabrications that company's required for their trucks e.g hydraulics, tie down point's, door ways, tail gates (not so much experience) and tow bars.

I have around 7 modules left till i complete my Automotive vehicle body building cert III. Also done abit of work experience here and their building radio towers, pannel beater, storeman.

I consider myself very handy for my age and fabricating metal is my passion. I am very good at mig welding oxy cutting etc and can weld to a degree with a stick welder, i have also yoused machines such as gillotines, benders (pipe/sheet) and i currently have my forklift license with reasonable experience on a few types.

At the moment my license has been expired for another 1.5 mth but appart from that i have reliable transport to and from work, i like to shop up atleast 15 20 min early as im sure my references will tell you.

I have prety much all of my tools $1000 speedglass welding helmet, face shield's goggles workwear Kingchrome top box full of tool's and a bottom box on rollers with even more usefull stuff (old boss realy hooked me up)

Thanks for spending the time to read all this and if anyone know's someone with a full time position/apprenticeship available or basicly any sort of lead i would be gratefull and if it leads to something good 6 pack may be provided Because ive been in and out of trials for nearly a year now and no one has realy had the work/hours to put me on full time and i desperatly searching for a foot in.

Dan.

Mate to be honest jump on seek would be ur best bet

I'm a sheety by trade and most places ive seen really want trade papers

Can u tig?

Also what have u been ally miging?

I know one place worth a shot but doubt they will sign u off

Ive been to all the industrial estates in tweed, currumbin, burleigh, murwillumbah and yeah thats the problem im finding, they either want fully trained with a minimal amount of experience.

and i have ally welded heaps of diferent things, ally truck base, ally gates, etc

Dan if your willing to do FIFO or move up here there is alot of adult apprentice jobs going at the moment.

as booztjunky said get on seek or something and have look or try the Bechtel website

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
