Hi fellas,

I'm after the front bumper mesh/grille piece that goes where the front bar covering the intercooler area is. I want this exact type - not too thick and not too thin looking. Where to buy?

Cheers

that autobarn mesh is utter crap... pls dont..

goto a security screen doors place and have a look at their stainless steel mesh, it come in different gauges so you can choose how big the holes are and their shape...

and its black, its tough and its not expensive.

I used it to cover my FMIC and its been on 3yrs and still looks perfect, even after having a small bird hit it...

HI mate, yeah I totally agree...Autobarn mesh looks terrible and it ain't going to grace my Skyline.

Can you post up some pics of your meshed intercooler area? Also, any contact details of the security door place you got it from?

Cheers

Hey mate, I just went out to have a look at mine and its heaps different. It has an extra bit at the bottom and folds etc. Don't think it would fit. Sorry dude

No worries thanks mate. I would have thought it would be a different size anyway.

Any other details of where to get this mesh?

I got a fairly fine gauge, and it was an offcut so it was cheap as....

Thanks for your troubles buddy...appreciate these pics. However, the pattern of the mesh is circular not straight zig zag which is the type I'm after.

Cheers mate.

Kevin,

I have exactly what you are after, taken off my Series 3 BCNR33.

Feel free to pm me with a serious offer if you want it, bare in mind they are impossible to find and very expensive from Nissan if you need to replace, so I won't accept peanuts for it

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
