R34 Gtt - Brake Line Snapped

Recommended Posts

I was pulling out my front brake rotors to get them machined and in that process, I snapped my brake lines. The metal section that goes to the calipers.

How do I get this fixed? Or just get a new set ?

Plz help :(

If your rotors are getting close to minimum thickness, get new rotors regardless of whether they are standard, dimpled or slotted.

Do you have Vernier calipers or a micrometer?

Have you looked up the minimum thickness spec?

Yeh I will do that before I decide. Thanks mate

I got the broken brake line made again, but sadly it still wont fit... The end bit is protruding out of the bolt and it wont seal properly.

This is the reason why I was looking for a factory part. :|

The bends are ok. I can still get it in, but it doesnt go into threaded hole properly.

The end of the pipe needs to be flat and tapered inwards. (The fluid was coming out where the red arrow is)

I've flattened the ends now, will see if it fits..

can you guys tell me where I can get original ones of these from the internet?

Cheers

They're unlikely to be available except maybe from Nissan spares, probably with a few weeks wait to get them from Japan.

Worst case, trailer the car to the brake shop so they can make it fit.

The bit that the brake shop made is causing the issue. I work full time and i dont have time to go up and down everyday, so i guess its best option to leave the car with the brake shop guys to make it fit.

Wouldnt wanna wait weeks to get the part shipped from Japan
