Any Difference Between S1 And S2 Ecu?

i have a series 1 r33 and have a r33 series 2 remapped computer,it seems to run fine just wondering if anything different between the 2??? any help would be great,cheers

Define "series 2 remapped computer". Because, you know, the R33 ECUs are not easy to fiddle with. Not like R32 and R34. You can't Nistune them for example.

And yes, the ECUs are different. Some things like the idle speed increase when the A/C is switched on are handled differently (it's done by the A/C controller in one of them, the ECU in the other). Look at the last post from darkhalf (and the link in it) in this thread for some indication of how the ECUs differ.

No difference really, same same for the sake of the matter.

You can chip a R33 ECU, it's just not easy and not really cost effective.

it was chipped by toshi in sydney and he did a great job but he put the chip in a series 2 ecu instead of series 1.like i said seems to run fine with good power just wasnt sure on differences and if i was gettn the most out of it

Like i said to u buddy, we can run it up on the dyno next time u come over, Toshi is very good at remapping te 33ecu's im sure it will be ok. But MUST be checked

I told if you worry about ecu I can change to S1 ecu anytime.

Also we can go to dyno.

I switched between the two back when I had my 25 no probs.

Also remember Rb25det pfc works on both S1 and S2 with no settings to change when switching between the two.
