Hey all

Jus a lil stumped ATM I changedmy rocker cover seals yesterday when I took the cover off the passenger side I noticed a red/orange marking on the cam

My mate said the cams look fairly new no indents on them or nothing I've owned the car for 2yrs now

Any help will be much appreciated

When a mate of mine (a qualified mechanic) and I were changing the timing chain on my old 94 Bluebird, I asked him why the cams were marked with colours.

He said it was a common thing to indicate which cam is for intake and which is for exhaust.

Exhaust side seems to commonly be orangeish???
