I Got These For A Truckie, But After Seeing Them Wondered If Any Sau'ers Would Have A Use?

Recommended Posts

They're a completely weather proof 1.5W LED, with a locking nut for universal mounting, dimensions are

- 28mm total length

- 20mm thread length

- 11mm bore (width)

- 15mm lens width

He's been getting them for his decorative front lights in WHITE, and trailor markers in AMBER and RED

I found them interesting as they're the first truly weather-proof LED with a threaded body that I've seen.

But if you look at the pictures they're bright enough to make the camera drop exposure a lot, the RED can be easily coverted to act as a brake light for a motor bike, very easy wiring involved to get hi/lo levels.

The amber would be good for side indicators

The White I have seen for unique drving light patterns on cars where the factory option fog lamp sits, they make triangular patterns with them, it's the new thing over the now run-of-the-mill straight LED lines.

Pricing structure is generall based on volume, but generally anything up to 10 of them costs $10 each.

Here are some pics

Good for engine bay lighting I guess? I was going to do something like this on my old car but putting the new pretty engine in was more exciting then lining the engine bay with LED's first lol

Maybe when I have a pretty engine to put in the 33......
