Haha nah already did that with 250kw so it's all replaced :P

Haha

It's something I'll never have to worry about with the ultra progressive power delivery from the auto box, least I hope not anyway

Though I did do dome rough measurements and worked out if I move the trans cooler and air con thermo fan I can fit one of those Just Jap stealth front mounts in without cutting the bar, should be good for something, choockie reckons they are better even on stock boost

Your drivetrain will be fine ;)

I have to get a thin Davies Craig fan for A/c as mine was removed due to the huge plazmaman cooler, your Trans cooler can go on the drivers side and the fan can be replaced....

If your not gunna up the boost don't worry about the cooler, OR run E85 :P

It's already running 12psi

Plan is to go the front mount, injectors , Z32 AFM and a basic highflow or just get steel wheels so they last and that should do as far as mods for decent power

EDIT Wanna stay with 98 fuel as can get it anywhere

Hey guys, for those of you that dont know.... My clutch is now toast :P Didnt think it would last long at the power level considering it was way outside its happy zone!

Should have been double clutching not granny shifting :D

ANYWAY, that puts my car out of contention for the 26th as Jim Berry will be working his magic on my clutch around then.....

Ill still probably jump in with someone tho, CHOOKIE???? :woot:

Martin you still keen to drive my car to mats for cruise? if not mat make you way to mine :P otherwise i wont be able to come :'(

Yeah I ran around 250kw on 13psi like that.... You may get away with a side mount

Yeah I'll come get it if needed man, either way it'll work out fine!! :)

Awesome yay i wont not be able to go :)

cefiro is sold finally, 1250 but also got 3" front partt of the exhaust and highflow cat for the skyline, might try get those in before cruise if i have time :)

We missed ya :P

We mentioned that the WT brings the Lulz....

Oh and plenty of broad minded personty types up here if that's your fancy lol

I don't know if it's the forum or the iPad but I have to laugh at the way it changes S L U T to broad minded person and T U R K E Y to the schpinter of the universe

It's the forum

Like the word kunt spelt with a c turns to

flamin mongrel

Or add an s to it and you get

dream boats

    • How do you propose I cable tie this: To something securely? Is it really just a case of finding a couple of holes and ziptying it there so it never goes flying or starts dangling around, more or less? Then run a 1/8 BSP Female to [hose adapter of choice?/AN?] and then the opposing fitting at the bush-into-oil-block end? being the hose-into-realistically likely a 1/8 BSP male) Is this going to provide any real benefit over using a stainless/steel 1/4 to 1/8 BSP reducing bush?
    • I fashioned a ramp out of a couple of pieces of 140x35 lumber, to get the bumper up slightly, and then one of these is what I use
    • I wouldn't worry about dissimilar metal corrosion, should you just buy/make a steel replacement. There will be thread tape and sealant compound between the metals. The few little spots where they touch each other will be deep inside the joint, unable to get wet. And the alloy block is much much larger than a small steel fitting, so there is plenty of "sacrificial" capacity there. Any bush you put in there will be dissimilar anyway. Either steel or brass. Maybe stainless. All of them are different to the other parts in the chain. But what I said above still applies.
    • You are all good then, I didn't realise the port was in a part you can (have!) remove. Just pull the broken part out, clean it and the threads should be fine. Yes, the whole point about remote mounting is it takes almost all of the vibration out via the flexible hose. You just need a convenient chassis point and a cable tie or 3.
    • ..this is the current state of that port. I appreciate the info help (and the link to the Earls thing @Duncan). Though going by that it seems like 1/4 then BSP'ing it and using a bush may work. I don't know where I'd be remote mounting the pressure sender... to... exactly. I assume the idea here is that any vibration is taken up by the semiflexible/flexible hose itself instead of it leveraging against the block directly. I want to believe a stronger, steel bush/adapter would work, but I don't know if that is engineeringly sound or just wishful thinking given the stupendous implications of a leak/failure in this spot. What are the real world risks of dissimilar metals here? It's a 6061 Aluminum block, and I'm talking brass or steel or SS adapters/things.
