Oh btw, going to look at that clean white 33 in Newcastle sarvo :)

Nice man.

and that ferry the ramps are steaper then they look in thoes pic's i lived down there for like 4 yrs boat access only. You could do a run down to Pie in the sky and eat there but that may not be long enough for you guys, ill be joining the pack around gosford on the way through.

My Godzilla will take its 1st breath on the new engine this week and be ready next week, i just hope she still spits flames once its rebuilt it scares the shit out off ppl when u go from 1st to 2nd and spit going down the main street in gosford hahhaha.

fair call on the ferry.. im still happy to make a split meeting point for the people who want to go the ferry route?...

all that sounds good though mate.

no vcam for my car, can find areas to better spend money.

update on my ecu.. its basically been chipped by a company in japan that there is about 1 licence in aus to tune it haha.. so i will be going for the haltech :) and i got the ok to have work off too so very happy! my bank account wont be though.

Make sure u keep that ECU you may be able to offload it on here for some good $$$ if its a rare item, btw where was the shop that has the licence to tune it?

Yea I'm keeping all stock parts....

The guy that can tune it is up in Brisbane I think from what JEM informed me

Ant, have you considered the HKS V-Cam System..

http://www.hks-power...vcam/index.html

Costs about $7,000 though (not including shipping from Japan)

thats only for the pro system - which that only made 30 off.

the step 1/2 versions are ~ 4000. You can also buy some of the parts seperate, which can make it cheaper, depending on the whats is trying to be acheived.

Most of the decent builders/tuners in australia have there own setup by modifing the neo intake gear to run on the rb26 head - alot cheaper :-) Mine will be possible getting this next year, depending on how responsive my final setup is.

Hey guys i have a question about the transponder in the R34 GTR keys, my car has a aftermarket immobiliser installed and the original remote is not used, i only have 1 key and 1 remote for the car and i want to get a 2nd key/remote. What i want to know is the transponder in the key, is that still used when an aftermarket immobiliser is installed? and where can i get a 2nd remote for it. and am i better off just going and getting a new immobiliser/alarm put in that i have all the codes/info for and spares.

Because i have NFI i am going with NEW ONE :woot:

The old key may open and close the doors but won't turn the alarm off.

When I put mine in I threw out the old central locking system and fed the new alarm with the original wires. Which is probably what they would of done with you.

To get a new remote you'd need to find out what brand it is and either take it to someone so they can program it, or possibly find a code inside it? It won't be as cheap as it sounds I'm sure. Mr minute may be able to dodgy one up for you for 50 odd bucks???

I'd try mr minute or alike, then get a new one. But if your getting someone to install it it could cost a bit.

It's up to you.

hahah this guy, i like it.

i think i might call and ask about

http://www.npsonline.com.au/shop/item/4-star-car-alarm-01

this shit seems good, alarm, immob, turbo timer, price seems ok to. I just need to know about the dam key chip thing :domokun:

Oh oh oh J-RAD, Was down talking to Aaron @ Difftrans and he said your fkd :P Said the stock 34 diffs are a waste of space haha

At least i tried!

Yeh i just got quoted around 1k for a full Viper alarm with turbo timer and immob, but its not a 4 point and the only insurance company that will touch me since im 23 is just car at this stage and they require a 4 point in the car and i now need to find a dam key with a transponder in it and whats even better is i dont have the code for the transponder i hope they can code it off the key i have.

    • Should be more than fine, especially the overall fuel pressure would never exceed 3.5bar (assuming that thing never gets more than 0.5bar of boost in stock form). According to the chart, it's 11amps.
    • I definitely know the first rule here, look first, ask second. I've seen many people get roasted 😂 I found a few diagrams for the RB, but I'm yet to come across one for the VQ. From what I have read, the pump gets the +12v along with the FPCM, and it's the negative wire that gets passed through the resistor to regulate the voltage. So I assume I can just ground the negative wire at the pump to eliminate the FPCM control. But I really wanted to see the VQ circuit diagram first to make sure I understood it correctly. Once the new pump is in I'll do some testing to see how it behaves, and in the meantime, I'll keep looking for a wiring diagram. Thanks for your help mate, your time is greatly appreciated.
    • Maybe? I have the Supercheap ToolPro low thingo. It has a somewhat smaller diameter lifting "bowl" than you would expect on a workshop grade trolley jack, and a split rubber pad to suit that diameter. It clears the "N1" style skirts I have. Probably wouldn't if the jack's bowl and a suitably larger rubber block were in use. Having said that though.....you only need the rubber block to exist on the inner side of the pinchweld, so could carve away any rubber that fouled the skirt, leaving some there for "insurance" </simples>
    • I used to do that (sills with rubber jack block).. ... then I got side skirts, and there's no way for the jack to actually work there, the jack pad itself on the jack is too big. Is the answer to use a... smaller (?) jack? Hmmm.
    • I have too much trauma from every skyline I've ever seen having crushed jack points/pinch welds lol.    Yep, works 100%, it's what I use when I'm using the quick jack. Don't know why I can't also bring myself to do the same thing when I'm using a jack. I blame the skyline PTSD.
