The thread is TL DR so someone will need to catch me up, although i know we have Trike warriors and cars being completed..... Martin the trouble make is back and Chookie is getting more ink?

Oh and a swear i saw Captain Natro in here too?

Saved a fair bit of money from the stupid Ocsober thing so far so it will go towards tyres and oil cooler for the nats......... Oh and buying a 3082 as a backup for my turbs!

Well just as i suspected, the GTR has been delayed again, this time the tomei gasket kit is not in stock, so it wont be ready till monday/tuesday next week and im in orange all week, so im going to have to pick it up friday arvo when i get back from orange, then i can give it a drive to and from work on saturday and then the cruise is sunday, so ill be taking a fresh engine on this run, 2 days out of the shop. So i wont be doing any crazy pull sor anything so ill probs take up the rear as ill be going very easy on her.

Lol sounds like a bit to much for me anyways

With stock low mount manifold and piss ant exhaust etc on pump fuel i doubt its making that power, and low mounting a GT35 is a bit suss?

AND 500rwhp is roughly what i have NOT 400kw as Mr NPC said :P

Not sure if I posted this here or another thread but have a read and then see if you wan to take it easy still, best way to glaze the bores and kill the rings is to take it easy in my opinion

Have run in plenty of engines by loading them up first run and never had any dramas

If the shop has a dyno maybe they can run it in on the dyno for you before you pick up the car

well if this is the case im sure my mechanic will run it on his dyno b4 he gives it to me, im going to wait to see what he tells me what he wants to do with it as he is the one offering warranty on it if something goes wrong. If he wants me to smash it then get out of my way GTR coming through and ill see u guys at berowra as ill need the wood ramps to get on the ferry :woot:

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
