haha first world problems :P

Hey Guys,

I have been on the forums for a while and had planned on saying hi earlier but have been a bit bipolar as to whether I was selling or keeping my 95 R33 GTR VSPEC.

My car is pretty standard save for a set of -7's and an upcoming PFC/EBC install.

I plan on keeping things pretty simple with the car, keeping it fairly stock and clean (as clean as I can)

Anyway if you guys are planning a cruise or a brew (I am in Merewether) let me know.

Cheers,

Dean

sounds good man.

we do need another piss up... maybe after the track day next week :)

Yep we all need to catch up as its been a while!

Welcome in mate, clean white skylines FTW!

yea we do need to organise some drinks again...

any ideas for dates or venues? maybe something like we did ages ago, and meet up somewhere for a beer and a feed, and maybe a small cruise or something???

I've gotta get moved etc which will take me out for the next few weeks.... PLUS the gearbox has to come out of my car after the track day too so ill have to see how we go time wise, ideally for us it would be around 17/11 or somewhere like that...

sounds good around that time.

might be working, well see

We have two weeks off to set up the house etc (Was the time of for SAU NATS but no kesh for that with the new house)...

Did someone say drinks?

Any weekend but the 17/11 is good

Ill be in Port Macquarie with wifey that weekend

What's wrong with gearbox Matt? You broken something again?

Jarred should be an expert at house stuff by now

Nice 33 as well, I'll keep an eye out for it

Just over a month till my blacks. Cannot wait to start driving the thing. Hopefully ill have it all complete by then!

The car is meant to be finished getting paint repairs next week.

As soon as its out, its getting booked in for:

- Cat welded in

- Flanged Screamer Pipe

- Varex Muffler

- New intake pipe to airbox & new hotside cooler pipe

- Few gauges wired up

And if I have enough left over

17x9 +22 Enkei RPF1 wrapped in Federal 595 255/40r17 :D

Also anyone got any recommendations for the pipe work I need done? (local business around newcastle)

- Weld in the cat

- Make a new diff back exhaust pipe to go to the varex / basic fitting of the muffler

- Cut the plumback and add flanges + a new little screamer pipe

- Hotside cooler pipe (to hole in body)

- Turbo > airbox pipe

Also the wiring of the varex & three gauges (water temp/ oil temp/ oil press).

One person ive asked can do it all for about $1000. Does that seem reasonable?

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
