Ugh i gota type this again!

Hey all

I orderd an apexi exhaust through an american company (cant say which one on here). Anyway i orderd it back around the 13th of feb. They said it would take about 2-3 weeks. After four weeks i email them and ask whats going on they say yeah should only be another week and every second week after that i email them and get the same answer! This is REALLY starting to SHlT me!!!!! :P;)

What should i do, should i ask for my money back if they will?

I just want my damn exhaust.

Brendan

Well, if you can source it else where, sure demand a refund, as they told you it would be 2-3 weeks.

If you can, try starting with 'remember the exhaust I ordered' then ' you said it would be 2-3 weeks?' as he explains why its longer and goes on about delays, tell him you require a refund, as you are unsatisfied with the delay and wish to source a different exhaust elsewhere.

If he protests, tell him you have recorded the conversations, that you have legal advice that they are in breach of contract and that if they dont refund the money within 5 days you will be taking action to recover your money added to which will be legal fees, as well as seeking damages for your vehicle being off the road for an extended period.

but the bottom line is, they are in the US, you are in aust, and unless you have a friend that can take action from the US, and you have money to burn, they can screw you.

that wat i was afraid of, me being here and them in the us

BUT!

i was trying to post on here this morning, but i can hardly ever post becuase im always getting errors of some sort.

I sent a windge email last nite i got a reply this morning saying it just came into our hands today so we are going to send it off now!! So either i spoke to soon or they just got a move on from my email. But anyway i now have a tracking number from Fedex. Im just relieved its all going ahead now, i couldnt do any of my mods really with a stock exhaust.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
