Simon-S14
Had anyone used a 3076 with say .63 rear? Reason I ask is because that's the turbo I was running on my rb25 and now I have gone 3l bottom end I've pretty much changed nothing else. Curious to see how it will go might be a bit small I think. Was making 330 rwkw on 20 psi on the rb25 and full boost by 4000 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/405332-3076r-on-2630/ Share on other sites
R32Abuser
Simon, You running E85 I assume? I also think it will be a tad small. That said, Im curious to see how much boost you can screw into it and the number it will make. Dont think I've seen anyone use that turbo on a 3L bottom end on here but I could have just skimmed over the result. FWIW I'm running a GT3076R 0.82 A/R and I have 1 Bar (14.7 psi) @ 2950RPM and ~1.2-1.3 Bar (~18-19 psi) by about 3200-3400. On Jaustech's dyno, I made 281 RWKW but was out of AFM and fuel (need to do direct rewire of my Bosch 040!!!). Bare in mind, this is all on BP98. 34GeeTeeTee
Hey Simon, My 3076 fell over at 360kw so it may work but the turbo will limit the power, but for what your using it for it may be sweet? Would spool pretty quick on the 3L i would imagine Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/405332-3076r-on-2630/#findComment-6454714 Share on other sites
Simon-S14
Yeah I'm pretty curious to see how responsive it well be compared to before..was toying with the idea of changing the rear housing to a bigger one tho Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/405332-3076r-on-2630/#findComment-6454737 Share on other sites
34GeeTeeTee
Oh yeah, i forgot about that.... mine is .82 and i would say you will need the same? I'd like mine to come on a bit earlier BUT am pretty happy with it anyway.... tridentt150v
Would have thought a 1.06 would be the go for a 3 litre? 25's have the 63 or 82, so stands to reason that a it would be an 82 or 106 for a 3......but just sayin'. I'll go 106, I've got the 82 on my 25 and I think a 106 would be good on a 3. Limited for outright power, but still responsive and good for +350 with the right help. But guess I'll find out. Simon-S14
results are in. Blue us RB30 orange is rb25. full comparison and nothing else has changed except the bottom end. turbo is 3076 56t with 0.63 rear... falls over pretty hard and adding more boost doesnt increase it.. so rear is a restriction thats for sure. Need a .82 rear for it. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/405332-3076r-on-2630/#findComment-6463026 Share on other sites
tridentt150v
120 vs 210 at 4000rpm is pretty good though, and heaps more torque [300 vs 500], be a good thing on the road.
