Hi Guys,

For the last few days the car was running very rough with the exhaust gas light flickering, the car was almost misfiring. Now it wont start up at all. I am not sure how to put the car into diagnostic mode, if anyone would be so kind and advise how to do this?

Secondly, I cannot see the red led light up in the ecu, could the ecu be dead?

Many thanks.

Google how to put into diagnostic mode. Or get a mate with a consult plug.

Theres a very good chance ur spark plugs are really fouled which will cause no start.

Check and replace the spark plugs then u can diagnose. It may just be a popped intercooler pipe, bad afm etc

Check your basic's, air/fuel/spark. Be good to check your plugs first as stated above. Make sure they arent fouled. If they are looking pretty good, id start looking into the fuel side of things. Maybe check fuel pressure and your cam sensor.

Hope that helps!

Plugs are fine- is there fuel on them after cranking or are they dry? Could be no fuel ie possible fuel pump failure etc.

Check there is sufficient flow and oressure in the fuel line. Make sure filter isnt blocked.

Check ALL fuses while ur at it

With ignition on does your engine light illuminate?, If not then sounds like your ECU has no power.

If all good remove CAS and spin it with your hands, re-check spark and put your hand over the injectors and see if you can feel them pulsing(clicking).

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
