I had a crappy cheap compliance battery in mine for 3 years before it died. If batteries are failing regularly I'd be checking your electrical system is O.K

eg: Is your altenator charging, is something drawing current while the car is off, is there poor earths somewhere

Could be 1x of the relays playing up, I had that happen to my RB20DET and it kept draining the battery flat. The ECU would stay on regardless of IGN on or off.

Then again it was a RB20DET in a S13 chassis. The ECC relay was buggered, fried to be honest because AutoSports Engineering butchered the loom and raped it's mum. In the end I had to rewire the loom and created the guide below in my signature LOL
