Hey guys I'm looking for some A31 Cefiro parts!

I am located in California USA, 91776 so i would need it to be shipped here.

I just got the car last week and as you can imagine it's one of 4 that I know of that is legalized here and parts are a bitch to come by.

Here is what I need:

rear power window amp (right side)

passenger front window switch ( just the switch part not really the trim)

Passenger side front window regulator

Left front a/c vent trim

Right front sun sensor cover

both front vents on dash

drivers side (right side) front corner light

Speedo cable

both sun-visors and the bottons that connect to it, (there are tabs that they screw into the trim, grey color)

Let me know what you got and hopefully we can work something out.

And I'm hopingyou guys have paypal or something like that overthere...

Thanks,

Jeremy

  • 3 weeks later...

Don't need the power amp anymore found one that works here from a 94 Altima!

But still looking for the rest!

Please hit me up for parts!!!! I need them!!!!!!! Especially the power window switch for the left front passenger!!!!!!!!

  • 2 weeks later...

i was about to suggest your guys usdm Altima, I know U12/U13 bluebird is a direct fit

most of that stuff can still be had new from Nissan,

the left dash vent is a tough one second hand, Ive only ever seen one that was intact, and only skilled hands can remove it without breaking it

Check out www.trademe.co.nz (new zealands version of ebay) always lots of cefiro parts on there, as thats where most of them ended up

just out of curiosity, how did you get it regoed there? especially California with their tough emissions, I thought the US wont let anyone import anything unless its over 25yrs old or unless someone gets a model crash tested like the R33,

I also heard there is obscene importy duty costs aswell

My guy at Nissan has looked into getting parts from Japan but they are slow to respond, no one here has any experience with this car at all so even looking for the part numbers are a little tricky and then translating it might be the problem but I have been told that most parts are not available new from Nissan japan anymore.

I'll double check again but if anyone just has these parts laying around I just need them to work I can refurbish them myself.

As far as getting this car legalized here I bought it like this with all the paperwork done and had it verified again before i paid for it.

This car was done about 3 years ago before the laws got tighter.

I have an idea on how it was done and I'm just not gonna ask the questions.

This my my 4th JDM car, you just gotta know the paperwork and what to look for.

Also I'm trying to join the Trademe.NZ website and it's not letting me become a member, I found a few things i want on there but even if i do get on there and mange to email them i have to hope that they take paypal or find a dealer or something... so much work...

things i do for this car... LOL!

yeah i just talked to a auto dismantler there and he seems to be giving me the run around. I can't even get him to give me a quote on shipping a door for me to the US. he wants me to call him and I have but no one seems to give me a straight answer or the damn quote!

Also i have registered on the site but won't let me confirm the account just tell me opps! something is wrong! I have emailed the company but haven't heard back yet.... DRAMA....

I just want my windows and a/c to work at this point...

Left front a/c vent trim - which one ? If you mean the surrounding trim for the far left big AC vent facing the passenger, don't bother. Of all the Ceffies I've seen in the flesh and in pics, I've seen a total of 3 intact trims. These are extremely rare, and renound for breaking (the equivalent part on C33 laurels is the same). Just mock something up with a bit of DIY lovin'

Right front sun sensor cover - I've got a couple in my shed, the clips are broken, but from experience, you can just leave them sitting in their recess on the dash, they don't slide out, even under hard acceleration/cornering, you can't even hear any rattling.

both front vents on dash - again which ones? pics?? I've still got most of my Cefiro dash parts from when I put a Laurel dash into mine.

drivers side (right side) front corner light - I've got a pair of these, I want to hold onto them until my front bar arrives from Japan (mid-OCT), after that, more than happy to sell.

Speedo cable - Don't know about your Nissan parts availability over there, but here in Aus they're ~~$130.00 new, genuine Nissan Parts, it's the same cable as R32 Skyline and probably alot of other Nissans from the same era.

both sun-visors and the bottons that connect to it, (there are tabs that they screw into the trim, grey color) - I used to have a J30 Maxima, and remember these being exactly the same (just a different color), same applies for various other roof trims. hit up Maxima.org or the local wrecker.

As for your electrical parts/window regs, see if you can't get them repaired locally first, these aren't easy to find to start with, and they'll only get harder to find, even if you get a second hand one, it'll likely bump into the same problems further down the track.

My driver's side power window switch is on the way out, I put this switch in 2 years ago after the last one threw in the towel.

Wow thanks for the reply!

i'll take any parts that you have!

Regarding the sun-visor on the being interchangeable with the J30 Maxima that unfortunately isn't correct well atleast with our models here.

I actually was at the junk yard a few weeks ago and went through various models of different years trying to see what would work.

Here is a pic of what the J30 looks like: $T2eC16ZHJF0E9nmFSt4+BQGZs7)i4Q~~60_3.JPG

Maybe your guys version is different than ours.

As far as the sun sensors the rest of the parts I'll take anything you have.

I just won an auction for a pair of front window switches off yahoo.jp the other night so I actually have a extra driver side switch if you need one coming to me if you need one.

Actually my car came with an extra drivers switch already so I will have 2 so I don't mid letting one go and having a back up.

for the windows, I've been playing with how to rebuild the window motors on the regulators like they do on the z33's so once i get my switch in i'll see how it goes. I have the extra magnets already.

I pays to hit up the junkyards, if this mod works then I'll be able to refurbish the motor basically for free.

I'll do a write up on it and post it when the time comes.

Here is a picture of the other vent parts that I'm missing so that you have a better idea of what I'm talking about: Missingparts.jpg

It's the a/c vents trims and the sun sensor that I'm talking about.

But what I'm really looking need ASAP is A/C lines from the compressor to the condenser and the firewall.

Hope the pictures help clear things up! Let me know!

  • 4 months later...

Ok revising my list:

A/c lines

Sun Sensor and A/C vents trim (as shown in post above)

Speedo Cable

S13 Digital Climate Control Conversion harness

Let me know if you got em'

Im in the US man... hard time getting anything for these cars, even my JDM guys here havent even heard of this car....

Dose anyone have a part number????

Part number for R32 speedo cable is 25050-02U00

If you can't get out of your Nissan dealer, there are aftermarket parts suppliers that stock factory nissan parts.

Here is one example. http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/nissan-speedometer-cable-genuine-nissan-skyline-r32-gts-rb20de-gtst-rb20det-p-930.html

Also, there are a heap of Jap wreckers here in Australia. Here is another example. http://www.japaneseimportspares.com.au/home/

This one says they are updating their website and not available to purchase parts at the moment but I have bought things like wing mirrors, corner lamps, indicators etc from these guys before. http://www.sleekaspares.com.au/

I've even bought parts off a malaysian (i think) car forum.

That first link I think I saw some of the sun sensors and that in there.

If you didn't already know, we have a thread dedicated to finding compatible spares http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/325614-parts-thread/

One more post.

Just saw your thread in members section.

If you have an RB25 gearbox, they use an electronic speed sensor, as opposed to the RB20 gearbox (and your instrument cluster) which use a cable.

To make the cable fit on the RB25 gearbox you will need to use a modified navara speed sensor.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=120445

Depending on your diff ratio, you may want to use a different cog on your speed sensor.

YELLOW is the 16 tooth for the 3.36

BLACK is the 17 tooth for the 3.54

BLUE is the 18 tooth for the 3.70

WHITE is the 19 tooth for the 3.90

RED is the 20 tooth for the 4.11

PURPLE is the 21 tooth for the 4.38

I already have the Navara conversion done I was checking everything out and doing a tranny flush when I noticed that my speedo cable was sheered off.

Thanks for the info I'm talking to someone for a cable now.

Still looking for the other parts, I was hoping just to get it from a single car in one package but it seems like I'm just getting one part at a time.

I really wish we had these cars here where I can just go to a pick a part and get everything at once.

Save myself some money as well...

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
