Hi Lee .... welcome to the warm fuzzy world of SASA.

Even though I don't won a Skyline myself :) .... I nearly did though - does that count?

I only have a crappy little S15 ;) .... check it out at My Site

Got any pics of your ride?

btw be very careful at that sort of boost if you've never driven a manual before .... best of luck and look forward to meeting you at the next cruise.

Welcome SPOOLIN (Lee) Nice choice of car, & colour too!

I'd be a little cautious about running 18psi boost unless the engine/turbo/intercooler etc have been set-up to allow this!

If your car has already been modified to cope with 18psi then ignore the above warning & smile ;) 'cause you've scored a good one mate :uh-huh:

Nightcrawler,

Saw you & your beast on Fri'/Sat' night (can't remember which?) @ the lights on Grand Junction & Sudholz, we were in the family mobile (green 5dr RAV4) turning right from S into GJ. Can't miss those plates of yours mate :)

Lee,

You've sure got me interested now mate :uh-huh: Can you give us any idea on the engine mod's?! Like the turbo it's running :)

You're gunna' have to come along to the dyno day on the 12Oct' then ;)

:)

Lee,

I am new to the world of skylines and manuals as well.

I bought an R32 GTS-4 about 6 weeks ago.

It won't take to long to pick it up, just take your time to start with and don't rush your gear changes.

Hope to see you out cruisin.

Woohoo..........:)

Ive just come back from a few hotlaps (well slow laps actually) around the block and the beast is still in one piece *yay*

Hmmm......enigine mods....Well i dont really want to give too much away at the moment until ive seen the car make the power myself. Oh and if i say too much no one is gonna line me up at the lights:( but i will say that the (OS Giken triple plate clutch) is a bi*ch for slow speed takeoffs.

As for the dyno day i will do my best to get there but it will depend on how my driving is coming along :)

Lee

You'll probably find there will be others on the forum with the same gizmos fitted to their Skylines. All you need to do is find someone with the same bit of gear & ask away :) Assuming they know how it works!

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
