Hey guys.

I bet close to all of us who have leather seats have and will come across the cracking of the vinyl on the side of our seats.

I went to my local trim shop and asked them to replace the damaged vinyl.

They did but it wasn't even close. (why to light)

So i email a company "http://www.leatherrestoration.com.au/" and they said they could make me a kit to restore my leather and paint my vinyl to match.

I posted my old vinyl that was damaged to him so he could match it.

$140 later and i got my kit.

I did 3 layers of color on the leather and 5 on the vinyl to get the color right.

Lucky i'm not touching the vinyl.

P.s you can't buy the same color new

cool, from the pics i see did you clean it a lot?

and looks like mostly ware and tear and sun damage if so try a leather feeding it re-moisturizes the leather and makes it last longer when leather dries out it tends to decal from my understand from work lol

i would not suggest vinyl paint as people in the car selling industrie use it to hide defects that will show up later on if you want a more permanent fix i sagest getting a re-trim in more durable leather

Never in my life have i heard of this happening, i've been selling new & used cars for close to 2 years.

I "clean" the seats about 4 times a year but i condition them heaps to keep the leather soft, shiney and smooth

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
