If you two don't knock off the whoring in threads outside of the wasteland - you are both going to see some resulting action being taken that you probably won't like.

Enough is enough guys. People have had enough of it.

2001 V-spec 2 HKS cam gears , nismo twin plate clutch ,HKS front pipe , Veilside Titanium 3.5inch exhaust , Apexi power fc ,Apexi pod filters , HKS hypermax 2 coilovers, ACPT carbon drive shaft thats about it i think stock engine turbos and fuel system, it had 260awkw @ 15psi ran a 12.2 @116mph with stock rims with 245 tyres that were way past their use by date were as hard as a rock best 60ft time i could get was 1.98sec this was done at the townsville drag strip possibly the worst prepped track in australia

no offence and I debated with myself for a while before posting this( waits for some noob to edit quote that line), but it the way you are driving the car, I have an 11.13 @ 123 mph in my 32, and 11.8 @ 118mph in the 34 ( I have only dragged the 34 once on someone elses setup ) so a 122mph should be a mid 11, read the how to launch your GTR thread and practice

A mate ran a 12.3 @ 110 with his R34 vspec. Mods at the time were a twin plate exedy clutch, power fc, AVCR and a street tune to 1kg/cm boost. Estimated to be about 230kw atw. It was in the middle of summer and his tyres were shagged as well I believe.

this sounds impossible to be honest,

people are saying they just rev dumped first which i did and smacked every gear

i started the "how to launch your gtr" thread haha its good getting everyones opinions

Well its not. He was consistent and ran 12.3's repeatadly. I know his reaction times are always good too, and he is pretty brutal with the car.

I left out that he has an 80mm titanium exhaust on it too. At the time I'm pretty sure thats it for mods

I've read that 11's are possible on stock low mounts if your willing to lean on them to the point of breakage.

Turns out that it was 111mph too:

I thought side step and dumping were the same thing

Side steo being - you move your foot to the left of the clutch resulting in stepping off instantly

Dumping - you lift your foot straight off

Besides, all you guys averaging 1.9 60' times need to get a better launch. Should be getting 1.6 60'

This guy knows stuff!!!

And I keep telling people it's all in the first few seconds of getting outta the hole that will seperate you from that average time to that great time.

I'm .1 off a 1.6 :D

if i can hear correctly.. hes ranging from 12.3 to 12.7

i can see hes trying to side step instead of dumping which was causing smoke

In other runs last year he was doing 12.3 to 12.4.

The more recent youtube footage taken this year is slower due to problems with the car not running right. An intermittent ecu fault would make his tune go rich and drop ignition to cylinders occasionally.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
