Hi everyone. Regrettably the time has come to let go of my second love I’ve owned for the last 2 years. I’m going to be downgrading to a cheaper, more practical daily – The time has now come for me to start looking for a property, so I need any boost with finance I can get. If you're looking for a gorgeous, clean series 3 with sensible modifications owned by an enthusiast, this is the car for you! The details of the car are as follows:

Make: Nissan Skyline

Model: BCNR33 – Series 3

Year: March 97'

Vin Code: BCNR33 041297 (Nissan Fast screen shot added here)

Color: QM1 White

Kms: 106,000~

Registration: Expires July 2013

RWC: Yes

Price: $24,000 (standard exhaust/suspension) – I’m open to reasonable offers. Looking to offload within 30 days due to RWC! Great car with heaps of goodies and very well cared for.

Location: NW Melbourne

I am the first owner of this car having purchased completely standard from Southern Special Vehicles in Oakleigh for $25,000 with ~76.000km on the odometer in June 2010 – This was by far the cleanest, unmolested example series 3 I could find, so I snapped it up. In the last 2 years I have spent close to $20,000 on modifications and religious regular servicing – Most of the work has been done by the professional guys at Protek Automotive in Thornbury. The general condition is better than you would expect of a 15 year old car – The paint is in very good condition, which minor stone chips on the front bar and blemishes on the rear spoiler. The interior is in great condition (Non-smoker), and there’s no bolster wear or tears in the seats, and the steering wheel is also in good nick. Wheels have slight gutter rash from daily use. Car will be sold with standard exhaust and suspension fitted as required for RWC. This car has been my daily, and she’s never let me down! Here’s the list of modifications that I’ve completed:

HKS Hyper-D coilover suspension (will be supplied at extra cost)

Work - Emotion XD9 18x10 +18 MGM set (currently has 255 Bridgestone tyres ~70%)

Clear Nismo side + front indicators

Pioneer Head-Unit+ Speakers 6" 210watt 3-way

Tinted windows

Nismo Gear Knob

Mines 320km/h Cluster

NSK-7172SO Excedy Sports Organic Clutch

Turbo-back exhaust (will be supplied at extra cost)

Bosch 044 in-tank fuel pump

600cc Sard Injectors

Apexi PowerFC + H/C

2860-7 turbochargers

Gates Racing Cam Gears

Clear Cam cover

K&N Panel Filter

New 42mm Alloy Radiator including new thermostat

Turbosmart E-Boost Street Boost Controller

Carbon fibre air duct inserts.

The car has had Its major 100,000km service including Gates Racing timing belt, pulley, studs and seals. All fluids were flushed and recharged including attessa fluid, both diffs, gearbox and transfer case conducted 8/4/11. Last service of motor oil/filter/plugs conducted less than 5000km ago. Comp test was completed showing 140 across all cylinders prior to any modifications. Currently performs with 276.8awkw @ 18psi on a safe tune. Car doesn’t skip a beat and never knocks over 20. I have all receipts.

*THE CAR IS CURRENTLY IN THE WORKSHOP UNDERGOING MODIFICATIONS FOR RWC – IT WILL COME FITTED WITH STANDARD EXHAUST AND SUSPENSION – IT WILL COME BACK WITH NEW BRAKES AND DRIVESHAFT BOOTS FITTED IN THE COMING WEEK OR SO.*

I will throw in perfect working order standard turbos, and another pair of high-flowed R33 N1 turbos that need the seals replaced. You may have the aftermarket cat-back exhaust and suspension at an extra cost.

The only downside to this car is the 2860-7 turbos I purchased second hand over a reputable member of the forums has a small whine to it. They were tested prior to fitting and were in perfect working order with no shaft play what-so-ever and did not feel rough when spun by hand. Once installed the whine was present and has been that way since February 3rd this year. The car has performed flawlessly and does not affect it at all. I had it all tested in-case there were any vacuum leaks, but was determined a bearing inside the turbo might minor damage due to sitting around for a long period of time or possibly dropped. I just haven’t had the time or coin to rectify this, so that’s why I’m throwing in my two sets of turbo’s to the new buyer as an added incentive.

I’m looking to sell this car within 30 days of the RWC expiring – I’m open to offers from serious buyers. You’re more than welcome to ask any questions/drive the car whenever you like.

You can contact me on 0406948342 or PM me on here.

Regards

Steve.

*I'LL BE ADDING UPDATED PHOTOS WHEN THE CAR COMES BACK INTO MY POSSESSION - INCLUDING INTERIOR AND MORE ENGINE BAY SHOTS*

Hi guys, people have been messaging asking why I'm not providing my aftermarket suspension and exhaust in the sale. I initially wanted $25,000 for the car in this tough market, so I thought I could drop it without these parts and leave them up to the new owner on what suspension/exhaust setup they see fit. After some thought I'd be happy to throw them in for any potential buyer if they wish - I consider myself to be a fair and generous guy, so don't be afraid to ask any questions and throw offers my way. Having said that I wont just be giving this away, she's too good for that.

I will consider swaps for an '03-'05 WRX wagon + cash my way - I'll be looking at one this week as a potential replacement, so I'll keep you updated as to what happens with that. I also forgot to mention the car recently had new nolathane bushes fitted to the castor rods.

Regards.

Believe me I want to keep her - I've been holding off doing this for months. I've just come to a point where I need to make some short term sacrifices to help fund a long term goal.

I just hope somebody will get enjoyment out of this car as they are becoming rare to find.I've currently got a couple of interested parties in line to have a look at the car - I'll keep this thread up-to-date on its status.

Cheers.

    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.
    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
