Hi Guys,

Just seeing if anyone has had a similar issue.... Ive had this car for about 6 months and have had on going starting issues. Ill put a list of mods done so you can get a basic idea.

-GT3582r

-External Gate

-Haltech plug and play platinum

-Sard 1000CC injectors

-300l/hr fuel pump

The issue is it wont start at all when cold some times and if it does/when it does it misfires quite bad till its warm. Ive used a snapon Spark tester and it has spark and definably has fuel as it smells soooo fuely. It will also make a massive backfire if i keep cranking it when it doesn't start. The timing is 100%. The car made 290Kw on 15psi with no issues.

Ive tried replacing the CAS - ECU - Plugs - and Ignition module.

Im stuck for idea's. Only thing i haven't replaced is the coils but i'm sure that wouldn't cause it to not start completely.

Any help would be amazing....

More like: People going full aftermarket ECU's that don't have Nissan Cold Start in them, then tuners not spending proper time on Cold Start correctly.

Tuning the car for power is the easy part, most tuners tend to just start off with a rough base type map, and adjust from there.

It's getting the economy, cold start, return to idle, A/C load etc etc all takes a bit more than a couple of hours, and this is why good tunes actually cost a reasonable amount of money.

Could also be the wrong plugs in the car as well.

Side question, why only 290rwkw @ 15psi? Whole lotta lag for the power. You'd be better off with a 3076 and picking heaps more in the midrange.

The ecu was tuned by rick at cmr. I believe the cold start map.is fine because it's a intimitant problem. One minute it starts fine and then it won't start at all the next. We were going to tune for more power but its only got standard coils and a standard cooler letting it down. It's got me f**ked. Have put a standard ecu in and it's had the same issue. Got me f**ked.

Can't believe anybody mentioned coolant temp sensor or plug/wiring faulty. Check this before anything else, especially if its an intermittent fault.

Edit: Sorry, missed the part about weak spark. If coils are standard, they could be at fault too.. Greater load on them during cold start.

      Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.

      Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.

Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
