To All Newcastle Members, Heads Up For Operation Hammer!

Recommended Posts

Aww :(

But I dont wanna be! >.<!

Doesnt matter, we are stereotyped buddy! Hence why the cops are targetting modified cars and not camrys with belts hanging out of the tyres........... You dont need tyres to be safe, a standard airbox makes the car safe

haha camry showing belts was my last car!

Once again! You are a menace to society! You are the whole cause of operation Hammerbutt!

That's why you don't get harassed in Sydney benji, cause Sydney isn't full of f**kwit bogans!!!

have you been to Sydney?

also, I get the while illegally modded car crack down, what I don't get, is why they make it so hard to get mods legal in the first place.

remember, a vt commo with 20's is illegally modified.

and as previously stated, we have already had crack downs in Sydney.

I do not take my car out on a Thursday night, anywhere, for this exact reason.

defects everywhere.

but, people still don't learn.

mate had a neat vx, was bull shit low, pulled over, defected, all he was doing was pulling into the carpark to go shopping.

thats where they had the defect station set up.

its going to happen, and continue to happen.

just try and be polite as possible, and hopefully get off a little better.

haha so annoying ay, id be so pissed off about that.

i hate the idea of not being able to drive my car when ever i want

i heard they defected people for ripped floor mats, no water in washer bottle and window winders not working o.O

It's starting to get pretty average in Newcastle if you have a modified car. But I do see why they are doing it. In saying that the government isn't making it Easy to make modified cars legal. BUT if people continue to go to coragang and the foreshore, the police will continue to go there and defect. On a side note, like to see if a police car has a engineer certificate for all the "none standard" equipment they have.

OPERATION HAMMEROID!

If they were pro-active about supplying education to modified vehicle owners or at least a chance to discuss the mods and options then they would get a lot more support from the car scene, but the way they are handling defects and punishing modified cars is just silly, some of the stories of defects ive heard so far have been pretty stupid! SAFETY issues should warrant defects, but some of the things being picked on are pretty stupid!

I was considering buying a bike a while back so i didnt have to deal with the cops anymore if u know what i mean  but not all the cops are assholes, i had 1 HWP not even gun my GTR on old pac the other day (was not speeding), he just stood there staring at my car in awe as i went past him, then flashed the bikes that where about to go past him doing 100km/hr + LMFAO

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
