Hey Guys

Looking for those whove had experiences dealing with both these tyres in wet conditions

Are the KU39's worth the extra dough?

Im currently running 265-35-18 on the rear. The 255's are much cheaper , would my performance be hurt that much by fitting a 255 in place of the 265's? Car is a daily driver which sees no track use.

Cheers

a) I thought you already chose a set of tyres over a month ago

b) I told you to consider yokohamas while your at it

c) your packing bricks because your car/you drive like shit in the wet so that should mean that you should buy a really good pair of tyres

d) just go get the ku31's. Lots of people have reviewed them and say they are good

KU36's are fine in the wet from my experience but I would definitely not buy them again due to the incredible road noise they started making at around half tread. Go the KU31's for the road, but even they are noisy from all accounts.

i always used Adrenalin Potenza RE001 on my NA 33, about $220 per corner

Never had issues with them, Mind you i wasent putting much power down but they served me great- Great life out of them too.

You can slip out with anything in the wet - Drive to the conditions and use common sense.

    • Oh yeah that would work excellent. Should be the same diff housing & everything. Shoot me a text or call me 260-750-2246 -Cody
    • Oh right, I didn't realise it was your car. Please do! Makes me feel better about mine. I also have a big scrape on the front left bumper where someone presumably used the wall to guide the car into a parking spot  But somehow all the funds go towards mechanical things and the cosmetics stay forever unfinished... Interesting, I don't think I have seen it before. But after seeing @PranK's rusty roofline on the BMW I'd probably leave it alone. Wouldn't want water to get in there.
    • Thanks mate, thought you might know the answer.
    • Infiniti US are teasing a manual Q50 as a way to refresh a (very old) model. https://torquecafe.com/manual-performance-sedans-arent-dead-yet/ Can't be too technically difficult given the Z has the same motor with a manual gearbox......here's hoping there is a JDM version we can import here, that would save me a world of headaches
