Power Road Car Sales/ Other Import Dealers.

Firstly, I know this thread has been covered in the past.. I've been reading through opinions, mostly good but I wanted to know as for these days what people think of this import dealer, and others such as ssv imports ect.. . For anyone who has recently dealt with power road car sales I want to ask how you found it, either to buy a car or just to have a look around. General opinion of the business today.

I dealt with both.. Bought my first car from power road. Bought my stag from ssv.

How long ago did you buy your car from power rd? I like the fact they have stock on the yard to see first hand. Haven't driven past ssv for a while but they never seem to have a lot of stock unless they have a area in the back?

Anyone else who has recently dealt with power road or heard anyone else dealing with them.. ?

SSV deal with mainly Special Vehicles, hence the name. so your disability type vehicles or 'travelling' vehicles is what they really specialise in. I was lucky enough they had a fairly clean Stagea when I got it from them, every question I asked was answered in full with no holes in their stories etc. was literally an easy transaction.

Power road i dealt with some odd 4-5 years ago when it was half the size of what it is now. i had a few problems with the car I bought, with no support from them even within 30 days of getting it. had I have know better then, a lot more action would have been taken. since then a lot of changes have happend and a lot of people speak really highly of them. the fact that they , as you said, have a lot of cars in stock to choose from is definitely a big plus with a variety to choose from. If you go there, speak to Jeff(if he still works there) pretty helpful, but At the end of the day you cant trust any used car sales man lol they will try and sell you what they can, its up to you to have independant mechanical checks on the vehicle and whether you are happy with the vehicle enough to pay for it.

I got my GTT from power road back in feb, was dealing with Shane at the time I think. Ive had no issues with the car since and he was great deal with and talk too, overall business seemed fine to me.

As above though you cant really trust any sales man but so long as you know what you want and get everything checked out and all seems in order its hard to go wrong.

Thanks for the responses. If I did pick up a car I would get it RACV checked, would they be the right company to go through for inspecting skylines in your opinions?. How did you guys go about checking the cars you bought? Anywhere in specific, workshops as such you could recommend for a all round inspection?

Racv is fine, they will do leak down/ compressions tests, they do coolant chemical checks to find contamination as well. Basically drivetrain is only really checked with a simple test drive. Aswell as any funny noises or knocks.
