I Need To Buy A Gtst4 Auto Box

Hi mate

I'm looking to buy a R32 GTS4 auto gearbox (transmission) for my RB20DET.

I just cant seem to find it, i really don't want to convert it to RWD, but i'm willing to change ot over to 5 speed manual box if i can find just the box flywheel and clutch.

oh the years is 1991 R32 GTS-4 4WD skyline RB20det

Auto box from a AWD stagea might be an option, I have no idea if it will bolt straight on though.

mate what is a stagea? i figure its a car and will google it, but what year are you meaning if it's a car?

Stagea is a big ugly AWD wagon based on Cefiro chassis but with Skyline (GTS4) running gear.

wow it is ugly. I have couple of options

i have a ka24de gear box i have herd people say that i can switch the bell housing from a rb20 and it should bolt right up for a RWD set up, and i have also heard that the KA gearbox will bolt right up.

this is to much work that might not pay off.

You will burst a KA gearbox behind an RB20DET. That's even assuming you can make it all go back together. A lot of Nissan gearboxes can be Frankensteined together, but my opinion is that you'd have to be somewhat desperate to do so rather than just go find the proper gearbox. If you can't find one in the US, then why don't you contact someone like Jesse Streeter in Japan. Or you could contact any of the bazzillion Jap wreckers in Australia and see what they have. Freight on a cheap (these things are not worth anything) gearbag like this is going to be the killer. You'll certainly pay more to move it than it is worth itself. But sometimes you've just got to do what you've got to do.
